My Billionaire Husband Brought His Love Child Home, So I Got My Daughter A New Dad-Now He is Crazy with Regret!

Chapter 1

With Regret, I was feeding seven-year-old Lily some warm pumpkin porridge when Nathan stumbled drunkenly through the front door. His collar was askew, his tie half undone, and angry red marks bloomed along his neck.

“Olivia,” he slurred, swaying slightly, “someone spiked the drinks at the fundraising gala. But don’t worry… I’ve already had the lawyers handle it.” I nodded in silence.

We’d been married for years. He had always been devoted to me and our daughter. Nathan had never strayed before or so I believed.

Eight months later, Nathan was away on a business trip when news broke of a devastating fire on a luxury cruise ship. Panicked, I rushed to the hospital with a crying Lily clutched to my chest.

There he was—bandaged, bruised, waiting outside the delivery room.

“Wendy is pregnant,” he choked, avoiding my eyes. “From that night at the gala… I didn’t think it would happen the first time…”

His Adam’s apple bobbed as he swallowed. “When the fire broke out, she put the life jacket on me. But… she got caught in the smoke.”

A newborn’s cry pierced the corridor. Wendy was wheeled out of surgery, pale and trembling. She reached for me with bloodless fingers and grabbed my sleeve.

“Please, Mrs. Shen,” she whispered, voice cracking. “A child needs a father…”

Nathan turned to me, eyes filled with torment. “Lily needs her mother. But this baby…”

I held my trembling daughter tighter and cut him off with a cold, bitter laugh.

“Nathan, either you make them disappear completely—or I’ll take Lily and leave.”

He backed me against the wall, eyes bloodshot, voice desperate. “I can’t lose either of you.”

The Lu family home was decked out in red and gold for the twins’ 100-day celebration. Guests filled the grand hall with laughter and clinking glasses. Banners fluttered. Lanterns glowed. Tradition radiated from every corner.

Lily hid behind my skirt, peeking timidly at her new siblings.

I slipped off my wedding ring and pressed it into her tiny palm.

“Sweetheart, let’s go meet your new daddy.”

I dialed the number. A deep voice answered on the first ring.

“Olivia… you’ve finally decided to look my way.”

Inside the mansion, Nathan beamed as he cradled the twins, handing out red envelopes to well-wishers. Wendy stood beside him, serene in a crimson qipao, soaking up congratulations as the new *Mrs. Lu*.

I stood quietly at the entrance with Lily, our simple clothes stark against the opulence.

Wendy’s gaze flicked to us—just a hint of smug triumph in her eyes.

“Nathan, your sister and Lily are here,” she said softly.

The room fell silent. Heads turned. Nathan’s smile froze.

He quickly passed the baby boy to a nanny and strode toward us.

“Olivia, why didn’t you tell me you were coming back? I would’ve sent a car—”

I let out a scornful laugh.

Was he truly concerned… or just worried we’d ruin his perfect little fairytale?

Whispers spread like wildfire.

“So that’s the original Mrs. Lu? The one who couldn’t give him a son for ten years?”

“I heard she became infertile after Lily. If not for Young Master Lu’s protection, she’d have been long gone.”

“Three months she ran off—just because Mr. Lu brought his mistress home!”

“How ungrateful. Old Mr. Lu’s dying wish was a grandson. Wendy will be the real Mrs. Lu before long…”

Wendy stepped forward, cradling the babies like prizes.

“Sister,” she purred. “From now on, Lily will have two little brothers. Let’s introduce them properly…”

Lily shrank back in fear.

Before I could stop her, the babies wailed—piercing cries of panic.

“Lily Lu!” Nathan thundered, shoving her aside.

She fell hard, scraping her knee on the marble floor. Tears welled up in her eyes.

“Nathan! Have you lost your mind?!”

I knelt beside her, wrapping her in my arms, fury pulsing through me. But Nathan didn’t even glance our way. He rushed to the twins, desperate to calm them.

Wendy dabbed her eyes with a silk handkerchief.

“Sister, I know you don’t like me. But how could you teach Lily to hurt these innocent babies?”

“If Nathan hadn’t reacted in time… she might’ve poked their eyes out…”

Gasps echoed.

And just like that, the crowd turned on us.
