My Billionaire Husband Brought His Love Child Home, So I Got My Daughter A New Dad-Now He is Crazy with Regret!

Chapter 2

“Such a vicious child at such a young age! What kind of mother raised her?”

“The Lu family can’t keep a girl like that around!”

I held my trembling daughter tightly, shielding her from their harsh words. My voice rang out in the grand hall:

“Wendy, you’re twisting the truth! How dare you slander us in front of everyone like this? Aren’t you afraid of karma?”

Wendy turned to Nathan with tear-filled eyes, the perfect picture of wounded innocence.
“Nathan… your sister just can’t accept me. Maybe I should take the children and leave the Lu family…”

Nathan’s face darkened.

When he looked at me, his eyes were filled not with love, but disappointment.

“Olivia, I’ve been too lenient with the both of you,” he said coldly. “If you can’t discipline your daughter properly, I’ll do it myself—as her father.”

Before I could respond, two security guards stepped forward to seize Lily.

I clutched her protectively.
“Nathan, if you so much as touch her—I’ll file for divorce!”

Nathan hesitated.

But just then, Wendy clutched her chest and cried out, “Nathan! The babies—something’s wrong. I think they’re having trouble breathing!”

His expression changed in an instant. He shoved me aside and rushed to her, completely forgetting the chaos he’d just caused.

I held Lily close, watching his retreating back. The realization hit me like ice in my veins.

**Those twin boys… they mattered more to him than we ever had.**

“I’m taking Wendy and the babies to the hospital first,” Nathan called over his shoulder. “As for the divorce—don’t even think about it!” He paused and looked at me with warning.
“As long as you accept Wendy and the children, you’ll still be the only Mrs. Lu. Olivia, my patience is wearing thin. Don’t push me.” Then he left.

The guests’ whispers hit me like a tidal wave.

“Tsk, this drama is better than any soap opera.”

“The wife can’t match the mistress, and even her daughter suffers for it.”

“Once a man has sons and a new love, who cares about the old one?”

Lily tugged on my sleeve, eyes filled with fear. “Mommy… does Daddy not want us anymore? It’s Lily’s fault, right? Please don’t fight with Daddy because of me. If you get divorced, I won’t have a daddy…”

I choked back tears and pulled her into my arms. “It’s okay, sweetheart. Someday… you’ll have a new daddy who truly loves you.”

But even as I said the words, old memories haunted me. Nathan and I had been together for 11 years—three years dating, eight years married. He had once treated me like a precious treasure. When I became infertile after Lily’s difficult birth, his grandfather tried to force us to divorce. But Nathan had knelt for 99 lashes under the family’s disciplinary whip just to keep me.

And then came that fateful fundraising gala. He had sworn to me:

“It was all an accident. I’ve already had the lawyers take care of everything.”

But a month later, he returned from a trip, missing a shirt button. He said it came off during a meeting.

Soon after, I found an ultrasound photo on his phone—dated exactly one month after the gala.

When I confronted him, he looked away.

“It’s a business partner’s baby. I’m just safekeeping it.”

After that, the business trips became more frequent. He even missed Lily’s birthday.

Until that last trip… when he just happened to be on the same ill-fated cruise as Wendy.

“Mommy… it hurts,” Lily whimpered.

Her scraped knee was still bleeding, and the memory of Nathan pushing her aside flared in my chest like wildfire.

**Eight years of marriage—was it all a lie?**

When I finally left him and took Lily away for three months… he never once came looking for us.

I kissed my daughter’s forehead, opened my phone, and sent Nathan the divorce papers I’d prepared long ago.

“Sign them. I want nothing from you—except Lily.”**

Then I scrolled to a number I had blocked years ago. My finger trembled as I pressed dial.

A deep voice answered on the first ring.
“Olivia… you’ve finally decided to look my way.”

“Wait for me to return,” I said.

I ended the call, lifted Lily into my arms, and turned to leave.

But two security guards blocked the entrance.

“Apologies, madam,” one said. “Mr. Lu has ordered that you cannot leave with the young miss.”

I opened my phone again to show the custody agreement. But just then, a new social media post from Wendy appeared.

It was a photo of Nathan in the hospital, cradling the twins.

“Thank goodness Nathan rushed us to the hospital in time! On behalf of our boys, I want to thank their amazing daddy❤️”
My breath caught in my throat. I felt like I might cough up blood.

“Mommy?! What’s wrong?” Lily cried, panic in her voice.

“Quick! Mrs. Shen is coughing up blood—call an ambulance!”
