My Billionaire Husband Brought His Love Child Home, So I Got My Daughter A New Dad-Now He is Crazy with Regret!

Chapter 3

In the chaos, I was rushed to the emergency room.

I remained unconscious for three whole days.

When I finally came to, my first thought was of Lily. But she wasn’t there.

“Lily!” I cried out, panic surging through me.

A nurse walked in with a clipboard. “A man came earlier,” she said softly. “He claimed to be the girl’s father… He took her with him.”

My heart dropped like a stone.

A sickening premonition seized me as I fumbled for my phone. I dialed Nathan’s number three times before he finally picked up.

“Nathan!” I cried. “What have you done with Lily?! What are you planning?!”

He let out a cold, mocking laugh.

“What am I planning? I should be asking you that!” His voice was sharp with accusation. “You sent Lily to harm my children with Wendy. Did you think I wouldn’t find out?”

“That’s impossible!” I shouted, my pulse thundering in my ears. “Lily would never do something like that. This is Wendy’s scheme—she’s manipulating you!”

I tried to sit up, but the IV lines pulled taut, biting into my skin.

“A scheme?” Nathan’s voice turned glacial. “The security footage clearly shows Lily walking toward the cribs… with scissors. She said she wanted revenge for you.”

My breath caught.

"No."

No, it couldn’t be true.

Lily had even told me not to blame Nathan earlier. She’d said it wasn’t his fault.

Suddenly, a crash echoed through the line. Then came Lily’s tearful voice, broken and pleading:

“Daddy, I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to hurt the babies…”

My hands shook uncontrollably, the phone nearly slipping from my grip. Tears streamed down my face.

“Lily! Nathan, please—don’t hurt her. She’s just a child! She’s only seven! If you’re angry, take it out on me! I’m begging you…”

But he cut me off, emotionless.

“Olivia, from now on, Lily is under my care. If you interfere again… don’t blame me for disregarding our marriage.”

The call went dead.

I ripped out the IV, ignoring the nurses shouting behind me as I stumbled out of the hospital. I didn’t care about the pain. I had to save my daughter.

But as soon as I reached the hospital entrance, I was blinded by flashing cameras.

Reporters swarmed me, shouting over one another.

“Ms. Shen! Is it true you encouraged your daughter to harm the twins out of jealousy toward Wendy?”

“Online sources claim you're infertile—did you try to eliminate the Lu family heirs out of spite?”

“Mr. Lu has released a public statement. He says he’ll pursue full legal action. What’s your response?”

Microphones were shoved in my face. My vision blurred. I could barely stand as trending topics lit up my phone like sparks:

#OliviaMadWithJealousy

#UnfitMother

Doctored security footage had already gone viral, showing Lily with scissors near the cribs. The image looked sinister—chilling. Fabricated.

The comments were ruthless.

“She’s a monster.”

“Lock her up.”

“Poor Wendy and those innocent twins!”

Only a handful of voices dared defend me: “Her husband cheated and brought his mistress home. Who could bear that?”*

But they were drowned out in a sea of hatred.

Suddenly, a black van pulled up.

Nathan stepped out, holding the twins in his arms. Wendy followed close behind, serene as ever.

Her eyes flicked over my disheveled state with thinly veiled triumph.

“Olivia,” Nathan said coldly, “kneel and apologize to Wendy.” The look in his eyes—stone. Unforgiving. “Admit you incited Lily to attack them. Admit you hired trolls online to smear Wendy’s name.”

“I didn’t!” I screamed, my voice hoarse. “You know damn well this is all a setup!”

A cry pierced the air.

“Mommy!”

Lily broke free from a nanny’s grip, rushing toward me—but Wendy caught her first. She grabbed Lily’s arm and twisted it viciously. Lily’s face turned white. Tears welled up, but she didn’t cry. She just whimpered, quietly.

I looked to Nathan. He did nothing. Didn’t even blink. That’s when I knew: he no longer cared about the truth. My legs gave out beneath me. I dropped to my knees. With shaking hands, I slapped myself across the face.

“I’m sorry!” I cried. “I taught Lily to do it! I was jealous of Wendy!” Another slap. Another lie. My heart felt like it was being ripped apart. Blood filled my mouth. My cheek burned. But I didn’t stop.

Nathan stood there, silent. Cold. Watching. The twins in his arms giggled—innocent, oblivious. As if mocking me. Then he spoke, voice calm and cruel.

“Not enough.”

He paused.

“Olivia… didn’t you say you wanted a divorce?”
