The conversation unfolds between Arjun and Gayatri Devi. Arjun describes how he saved Gayatri Devi’s life and expresses disbelief at how intolerable and unethical her sister-in-law’s family could be. He tries to prove to Gayatri Devi how much they used to love each other, showing a Rakhi he claims was given by Gayatri Devi herself. Listening to their conversation, Katha is surprised to learn that Gayatri Devi has a brother, something she did not know.

Gayatri Devi expresses her dilemma – whenever she passes the Jindal house, she feels a connection, but Arjun emphatically says there is no relationship between her and that house. He reveals that her father-in-law intentionally caused the accident that killed Gayatri Devi’s husband, though she somehow survived. The rest of the family left the town after that mishap. Arjun refuses to have any relationship with Gayatri Devi.
Outside the house, Gayatri Devi meets Katha, but she feels nervous. Katha tries to understand if anything is wrong with her. Arjun notices them conversing and immediately identifies Katha as a member of the Jindal family. After Katha leaves, Arjun strictly forbids Gayatri Devi from meeting any Jindal family member.
Arjun has a malicious motive behind Gayatri Devi’s instability. He forcefully administers medicine that causes her memory loss. He holds an old grudge against the Jindal family and intends to confront Eshwar before heading to Nagpur.
Uday is leaving for Delhi for an official meeting. Katha gives him a large tiffin box, and her concern deeply touches him. Uday’s cousins tease them about their hidden romance. Uday rebukes Katha for preparing food single-handedly, warning her not to neglect her studies. As Uday is about to leave, Katha feels an unexplained pain in her chest.
Katha later enters Arjun’s house in his absence to meet Gayatri Devi. Gayatri Devi is startled because Arjun forbade her from speaking to Katha. Katha is surprised and excited to learn about Gayatri Devi’s business.
