Chapter 14
The Colter family had become the biggest joke in all of Strathaven. It all started when Callum played the lovesick fool who was dead set on marrying Harper even after she was caught cheating at a hotel. But out of nowhere, Harper vanished the night before the wedding. Just as everyone was still trying to wrap their heads around everything, another scandal hit. It turned out that Callum and Sienna were having an affair, and the so-called Colter heir was their child.
Meanwhile , Harper had never cheated in the hotel, and Sienna had set the whole thing up. Just like that, everyone started feeling sorry for Harper. Colter Group's official page was flooded with hate comments every day. As the backlash continued to grow, shareholders and investors began to withdraw. Just as the Colter Group was falling apart, Callum. dropped the final bomb by reporting the Colter family's shady dealings.
In the end, the Colter family went bankrupt, and Olivia was locked up behind bars. After everything was over, Callum held a wedding with just him and "Harper". Only then did he cremate her body and turn her ashes into a pendant he wore close to his heart. He decided to travel the world with her. He wrote down all the places she had wanted to visit on little notes and drew a destination at random for every trip. The first stop was Northern Lights.

Then, he went to Aflein to see the animal migration. Later, he brought her to Ospen. Like always, Callum gently touched the pendant over his chest and whispered, 'We made it to Ospen, Harper. Do you see that? That's the clock tower you always wanted to visit." He wandered alone for a long time, mumbling about the scenery like he was giving a tour to a ghost. In the bustling crowd, he looked out of place and heartbreakingly alone. After a day of sightseeing, he closed his eyes in exhaustion.
For a second, he could have sworn he heard Harper's voice. His heart skipped a beat as his eyes snapped open. He looked around, but the one he longed for was nowhere to be found. Callum sported a wry smile, thinking he was just imagining things because he missed Harper too much. "I really miss you, Harper." He gently ran his fingers over the pendant, feeling more alone than ever as he watched couples passing ---- by. The ache in his chest only grew sharper.
The weight of his sorrow was too much, and he decided to head back to the hotel early. Just as he turned around, something in the corner of his eye stopped him-a face he knew all too well. It was Harper. Callum called out in a trembling voice, "Harper!" It was really her. She was still alive. He shut his eyes and opened them again, struggling to believe what he saw. But she was still there, quietly gazing up at the clock tower. She looked breathtaking, like a work of art.
Callum couldn't even describe what he was feeling. He was too scared to shout her name, fearing that she would vanish the second he did. He bolted forward as fast as his legs would carry him. His heart was pounding with a single thought to catch her, but he was still too late. A tall, mixed -race man draped a coat over Harper's shoulder. Seeing them about to walk off hand in hand, Callum couldn't help but shout, "Harper!" She actually turned around.

In that moment, he knew without a doubt that it was her-alive and real. When their eyes locked, they saw the surprise in each other's gaze. She never imagined she would run into Callum here. In her daze, he had already run up and grabbed her hand. "You're alive, Harper. Why didn't you come back to me?" Harper snickered and pulled her hand away. "Why would I ever come back to you? Aren't you just going to set me up and get someone to violate me?" Callum went pale in a heartbeat.
"I can explain-" She cut him off, "Forget about it." Jace stepped in between them without hesitation. "Get lost! I was talking to my wife. Why are you interrupting?" Callum lashed out with a furious kick, but Jace dodged it with ease and pulled Harper behind him. "When did my fiancee become your wife?"
