Banni tells Niyati that perhaps she is right; she and Yuvan cannot be together forever. She says she cannot let Yuvan live a tasteless life and wants him to be happy with whoever he marries. She promises to leave after helping Yuvan find a partner who wants to take care of him, and will visit him only until his marriage. Yuvan cries hearing this. Manini reminds everyone that it’s just a week and asks Niyati to get ready for the engagement, saying she will bring Yuvan down for the ceremony.
Hemant urges Yuvan to get ready for the engagement. Yuvan refuses, saying he does not want to marry dirty angel Niyati. Hemant laughs at Yuvan’s reasons, Niyati's dislike of kheer, and her uneven fingers, and tells him those are not real reasons. He explains that Niyati will be with him always, listening to his music and helping him with his chores. Hemant reminds Yuvan that neither he nor Devraj can always be present for him, but Niyati will be. Yuvan agrees to the engagement. Banni cheers him up and helps get him ready.
The engagement ceremony begins. Niyati tells Manini that she would have controlled Yuvan long ago if Banni hadn’t interfered between them. Devraj asks Banni if she believes Niyati’s story. Banni says she does. Devraj admits he still feels Niyati may not be right for Yuvan. Banni assures him that Niyati will take good care of Yuvan and goes to prepare him.
Yuvan panics when he can’t find his moon sticker (chanda mama). The servants inform Banni, who calms him and stitches the moon on his sherwani. Yuvan recalls his mother fusing the sticker on his dress and feels very happy. Hemant notices Devraj and his sister coming down for Yuvan’s engagement and praises Manini for convincing them. Yuvan recites a poem for Banni, praising her.
Meanwhile, Charmi watches secretly, smirking and planning her next move. Banni receives a customer call and leaves the room. During this time, Charmi steals the engagement rings. Banni returns, complimenting Yuvan on his poem and suggesting he recite it for Niyati.
Precap: Yuvan secretly fixes the engagement ring on Banni’s finger, announcing that he is engaged to her. Manini humiliates Banni, accusing her of dreaming of wealth and trying to manipulate Yuvan into marrying her.
