The episode starts with Appu feeling happy upon seeing Jhanak. She asks if Jhanak is working like a maid. Jhanak clarifies that this is her home, and she can do chores. Appu points out that Bipasha doesn’t do any work, prompting Bipasha to warn her not to involve her in the discussion. Jhanak insists she has no issue doing work, while Bipasha remarks that some people are destined to earn their meals through labor, which isn’t her concern. Jhanak dismisses Bipasha’s opinion, saying she doesn’t matter to her.
Shubh arrives and asks Appu if she is okay. Appu questions whether he has truly changed, reminding him that he owes money to Lalon. Shubh asserts that he has changed, but Appu refuses to believe him. Lalon tells Appu to let it go. Appu informs Jhanak that the doctor said she will recover soon and that she plans to resume her studies. Bipasha mocks Appu’s dreams, but Lalon reminds Bipasha that she is living under his roof.
Anirudh enters, and Appu asks if Arshi is mistreating Jhanak. Jhanak urges Appu not to say such things. Anirudh then asks Lalon about the doctor’s advice. Appu accuses Anirudh of being too occupied with Arshi. Just then, Arshi arrives and tells Jhanak to serve her food instead of chatting. Jhanak assures her that she will get her meal on time. Appu reprimands Arshi for ordering Jhanak around, but Jhanak asks Appu not to interfere. Arshi then questions Anirudh about why he hasn’t left for the office yet. He replies that he hasn’t had breakfast. Jhanak informs Anjana that breakfast is ready, but Arshi reminds Jhanak that she only asked for her own meal.
Bipasha taunts that Jhanak is trying to impress Anirudh. Lalon questions whether Jhanak is doing all the housework. Jhanak clarifies that she is only looking after Arshi. Anirudh objects, saying that Jhanak, being Arshi’s sister, should not be treated like a maid. Jhanak insists she is doing this of her own will and asks him not to interfere. Anirudh refuses to stay silent when something wrong is happening. Anjana agrees with him, reminding Jhanak that she is a guest and not a servant.
Lalon tells Jhanak that they are moving to a new flat and that she will have her own room there. Jhanak feels happy and thanks him. Lalon reassures her of his support. Appu tells Jhanak to come to her if she ever faces trouble and asks her to help with her preparations for Choton’s wedding. As Jhanak turns, she accidentally bumps into Anirudh, who catches her hand. Arshi immediately scolds Jhanak for standing there.
Jhanak tells Arshi not to be upset in her condition, saying she cares for both her and the baby’s well-being. She adds that she is doing all this for Anirudh, who has saved her life multiple times. She feels it’s her duty to take care of Arshi and her baby. Anirudh, however, wonders when Jhanak will truly understand him and decides not to justify himself. Arshi, meanwhile, asks Anirudh if he is getting late for work. He tells her to rest and leaves. Arshi feels happy that Anirudh cares for her, while Jhanak silently reflects that she remains a stranger to him.
Elsewhere, Prachi asks Vihaan if he has found any information about Jhanak. Vihaan says he hasn’t and expresses concern for her. Prachi hopes Jhanak is doing well, but Sejal dismisses her concern. Vihaan questions Sejal about her problem with Jhanak. Sejal turns to Ketki, complaining about Vihaan’s attitude. She reminds Vihaan of their relationship, but he responds sarcastically. Ketki scolds Vihaan, accusing him of ruining their family’s reputation by bringing Jhanak into their lives. Vihaan explains that he helped Jhanak for Ahaan’s sake, saying even Ketki failed to handle him. Ketki argues that he could have helped someone else, but Prachi defends Jhanak, saying she has done nothing wrong.
Meanwhile, Shrishti arrives at the Bose house and inquires about Jhanak. At that time, Jhanak is giving soup to Arshi. Shrishti questions why Jhanak is doing kitchen work again. Arshi replies that Jhanak is taking care of her. Shrishti asks why Jhanak has become Arshi’s caretaker. Jhanak tells Shrishti not to worry, saying she is fine and has no plans to go to her house. Arshi reminds Shrishti of her past betrayal and says she will never forgive her.
At Vihaan’s house, Sejal accuses Jhanak of being manipulative. Vihaan warns her not to speak ill of Jhanak, insisting that she has only done good for them. Ketki orders Vihaan to stop talking to Jhanak altogether.
Back at the Bose house, Shrishti declares that she is not ashamed to call Jhanak her daughter. She tells Arshi that she took good care of her and now wants to take responsibility for Jhanak. Jhanak, however, refuses to accept Shrishti’s affection.

Vihaan talks to Jhanak and tells her about Ahaan’s fever. He says he will come to Kolkata and take Ahaan with him. Arshi taunts Jhanak about Vihaan, and Jhanak gives her a fitting reply.
