Jhanak orders food for herself and Rishi. He refuses to eat and tells her to eat quietly if she wants. Jhanak observes that he’s angry, which is why he isn’t hungry. Rishi accuses her and her villagers of ruining his life. Jhanak defends herself, saying the wedding meant nothing and she only married him to save him. She assures him she’ll remove the vermilion before entering his house and return to her village later. She asks him not to shout in front of the driver and questions if he trusts her. Rishi says he doesn’t and adds that life isn’t a movie.
Jhanak gets excited about the food and invites Rishi to eat. He refuses, while she enjoys the meal. Rishi tells the driver to speed up. When the driver refuses, Rishi takes over and drives recklessly, losing control and crashing into a tree. Jhanak falls unconscious. The driver blames Rishi, but he says it was because her seatbelt was loose. People gather and call the police. Rishi introduces himself and asks for help, carrying Jhanak into a police jeep.
Back in the village, Rani comforts Nutan, who worries for Jhanak. Dhamu says he feels guilty, and Mangal and Veer agree. Sakhi asks for Rishi’s contact to talk to Jhanak. Nutan recalls how she once dreamed of studying too and now fears Jhanak’s life might turn out like hers. She prays for her.
At the hospital, Rishi gets Jhanak admitted. He tells the police officer he lost control of the car. When asked about Jhanak, he claims she’s a relative. The doctor says Jhanak might regain consciousness soon. She wakes up in pain and tries to leave, but the nurse asks her to rest.
Meanwhile, Bua and Kanka criticize Nutan, saying she should be happy Jhanak married a city man. Kanka claims Jhanak doesn’t belong to their village because her father was from the city. Rani shuts them down, while Sakhi defends Jhanak.
Elsewhere, Pihu confronts Ishani at her party. Jeet accuses Ishani of being jealous. Ishani warns him not to mess with her and threatens to call the police. Pihu demands Jeet throw Ishani out. Ishani tells Pihu that Jeet once ruined her life and is now trying to trap her too. She refuses to stay silent and vows to protect Pihu.

Kanka tells Nutan there’s no guarantee Jhanak will survive, noticing the lamp has gone out — a bad omen. Meanwhile, the doctor questions Jhanak.
