Indu firmly tells Zoon that she is her mother and Zoon is her daughter, and no one can separate them. She asks Zoon not to listen to anyone who claims otherwise. Zoon agrees. Zoon then talks about the hotel they visited earlier and says she wants to go there again. Feeling hungry, she asks for a sandwich. Indu explains that the hotel is too far but points to a nearby sandwich stall and promises to buy her food from there. Zoon agrees. Indu instructs Zoon not to move from the spot until she returns, and Zoon promises.

At the stall, Indu asks the shopkeeper for a sandwich and a bottle of water. He asks her to pay fifty rupees. Indu explains she has no money at the moment and pleads with him, saying her daughter is hungry. The man refuses and scolds her. Indu shows him Zoon and desperately requests help. She finally offers one of her jewellery pieces. The man agrees and gives her the sandwich and water.
When Indu returns, she is shocked to find Zoon missing. She panics and searches everywhere, questioning nearby shopkeepers, but no one knows where the child went. Indu then notices police vehicles along with CAA officials passing by. She runs after them. At a traffic signal, the vehicles stop.
Indu is devastated to see Zoon with Ritesh. Zoon happily shows Indu the juice Ritesh bought for her. Indu forces a smile and asks Ritesh where he is taking Zoon. Ritesh replies that he knows where Zoon should live. Indu asks Zoon to come with her and reaches for her hand, but Ritesh stops her. Zoon innocently asks if they are fighting. Both deny it. Indu pleads with Ritesh not to use Zoon to take revenge on her and begs him to let Zoon come with her.
Zoon asks Ritesh to let Indu sit with her in the vehicle. Ritesh tells her the seats are full and that Indu will come in another vehicle. He warns Indu not to create a scene in front of Zoon. Zoon asks Indu to follow them. Indu again tries to hold Zoon’s hand, but Ritesh grips Indu’s hand firmly. The signal turns green, the vehicle moves, and Ritesh lets go. Indu breaks down.
Indu attempts to run after the vehicle but is stopped by the police. The inspector informs her that she is being arrested for keeping Zoon illegally without legal adoption and for kidnapping. Indu is shocked.
At the Raina house, Rajender says he knew Ritesh would do this ever since the jewellery drama. Sunita defends Ritesh and cruelly blames Zoon, calling her a bad omen. Asha strongly rebukes Sunita and asks her not to say such things. Asha tells the family that both Indu and Zoon need their support and insists they go to Lonavala. Vivek agrees.
Anjali receives a message from Vivaan stating that Indu has been arrested. The family is shocked.
At the police station, Indu pleads with the officers to release her, saying Zoon cannot live without her. A senior officer mocks her and asks if she planned to use Zoon for future benefits. Indu angrily warns him not to insult her relationship with Zoon, calling her his daughter. The officer threatens her. Another officer comments that Indu will spend seven to eight years in jail anyway. The senior officer orders them to lock Indu in a cell. Indu breaks down in tears.
Ritesh takes Zoon to the CAA center. Zoon asks where Indu is and says she misses her. She questions why they are there. Ritesh tells her she has to stay there for a few days. Zoon asks if he will stay with her. When Ritesh says no, she asks about Indu. Ritesh tells her Indu will not be staying with her. Zoon refuses and demands that Indu be called immediately. Ritesh lies and says he will do so, then asks Rahul to contact the lawyer. Rahul complies. Meanwhile, Rajender’s health deteriorates, worrying the Raina family.
At the CAA, an officer speaks kindly to Zoon. Zoon starts sketching while Ritesh asks to see the room where she will stay. The officer refuses, citing rules, but considers arranging a separate room for Zoon. Zoon shows her drawing to Ritesh and says she wants to show it to Indu because she misses her. Ritesh is deeply affected. As the officer takes him outside, Zoon pleads from inside the room, asking Ritesh not to leave her alone.
Ritesh requests permission to keep Zoon at his house for one night, but the officer refuses, assuring him that Zoon will be well taken care of. Outside, Ritesh tells Rahul that he feels he might be doing something wrong. Rahul warns him not to repeat Indu’s mistake. Ritesh calls his lawyer again, insisting he find a way to arrange Zoon’s adoption. The lawyer reassures him but looks worried. Ritesh remains troubled.
Precap: Indu notices the food given to her and realizes Zoon is allergic to ghee-based rotis. She pleads with the police to inform Ritesh. At the CAA, the caretaker offers to feed Zoon, and she agrees. With the help of a few sympathetic cops, Indu manages to call Ritesh from an unknown number. Ritesh sees the incoming call, while Indu desperately begs him to answer.
