Raj didi asks Ishani what she will achieve by studying. Ishani replies that education gives freedom and allows people to live life on their own terms. Raj didi points out that Ishani is the wife of a rich businessman and already has everything. Ishani responds that even a bird locked inside a golden cage longs to fly. Raj didi remarks that Ishani speaks well.

At the college, Anurag asks Pihu how Ishani is doing and whether she delivered the notes to her. Pihu gets irritated and questions why he always talks about Ishani. Anurag asks her to calm down and reminds her that Ishani is also his student. Pihu apologises. She asks whether he can never forget his lover. Anurag says he cannot explain why he loves his beloved so deeply, but he knows he can never forget her. Pihu hopes that Anurag will accept her one day.
The next day, Raj didi asks Ishani whether the food for Yash is ready. Ishani places the plate on the table and says she has prepared everything required for the ritual. She adds that Yash may not like her presence, which is why she did not go to the hall. Raj didi nods and leaves. Nandini arrives and says she will serve Yash. Ishani replies that she knew Nandini would say that.
Nandini asks Ishani not to create drama. Ishani questions what she has done. She tells Nandini that instead of gossiping, she should have come to the kitchen. Nandini warns Ishani not to cross her limits. Ishani firmly states that she is standing in her own house and she is Yash’s stepmother, while Nandini is merely a guest. She asks Nandini not to lecture her about limits.
Shashwat comes there and says Yash and the guests are waiting. Nandini complains to Shashwat that Ishani was lecturing her. Ishani says she only gave Nandini a fitting reply. She declares that she will not tolerate insult or disrespect. Shashwat asks Ishani not to drag the matter further. Ishani replies that she will remain silent as long as she is treated with respect. She adds that she deserves respect from everyone, including Nandini. Nandini questions Shashwat about why she should listen to all this.
Shashwat tells Ishani that this is his house and his rules will apply. He says anyone who has a problem can leave. Ishani reminds him that their marriage is legal and tells him to throw her out legally if he wishes. Shashwat says guests are present, so he will not argue now. Ishani asks Nandini whether she will leave only when Shashwat leaves. She accuses Nandini of not respecting husband and wife privacy. Nandini tells Ishani to stop. Shashwat asks Nandini to come with him and not let her mood be spoiled. He takes her away.
The Aiburobhat ritual begins. Pihu comments that there is a lot of food. Yash says he can eat everything and starts eating. He tells Nandini that the food is tasty. Ishani watches everything silently from upstairs.
