Yash’s haldi ceremony takes place. Everyone applies haldi to Yash one by one, except Ishani. Raj didi asks everyone to begin the performances. Pihu starts dancing with her friends and then pulls Yash onto the dance floor. Yash dances briefly with her and returns to his place. Pihu asks Ishani to join them, but Ishani refuses, saying she is Yash’s mother. Pihu points out that Nandini is dancing, so why can’t Ishani dance. Ishani asks Pihu not to be adamant.
Pihu notices Nandini dancing with Raj didi. Ishani sees Shashwat staring angrily at her and wonders why he has been upset with her since the previous day. Pihu again asks Ishani to dance, but Shashwat intervenes and questions why Pihu is forcing Ishani. He sends Pihu away.
Nandini asks whether she can apply haldi to Raj didi. Raj didi refuses, saying she is a widow. Nandini then turns to Ishani and remarks that Ishani should not be inauspicious. Raj didi adds that something bad always happens because of Ishani. Ishani replies that they themselves have made her unlucky. She reminds them that she cooked everything for Yash’s pre-wedding ritual the previous day and asks what changed today.
Shashwat tells Ishani that there is a big difference between yesterday and today. He reveals that he has invited Anurag to Yash’s wedding. Ishani is shocked. Nandini asks why Ishani looks scared and says Anurag is innocent, so Shashwat decided to end the issue. Shashwat further reveals that he has also invited the college principal and committee members. Ishani questions the need for that. Shashwat replies that Pihu studies in that college, so it is necessary.
Ishani feels that a storm is about to hit her life. Shashwat asks her why she is not joining Pihu. He taunts that Ishani must have wished to enjoy all these rituals during her own wedding. Raj didi mocks her, saying who would wish for such things at her age. Ishani tells Nandini that she never had such wishes. Nandini asks whether Ishani never wanted to get married at all.
Ishani questions why they are interrogating her like this. She tells Shashwat that she never claimed she was forced to marry him. She asks whether he married her wholeheartedly. Shashwat replies that he wanted a companion to take care of his children and the house. Nandini adds that Shashwat never wanted a companion for himself.
Shashwat asks Ishani about her own wishes. Ishani says she wanted to complete her studies and achieve something in life. Raj didi excuses herself, saying she has work, and leaves. Shashwat then sarcastically asks Ishani whether she dreamed of a Prince Charming. Ishani asks why he is suddenly talking like this. Nandini questions whether Ishani is hiding something. Ishani warns Nandini not to interfere when she is talking to her husband.
Shashwat asks Ishani to tell him the truth. Ishani asks what truth he wants to know. Nandini bluntly tells Shashwat to ask Ishani about her affairs. Ishani fires back, asking whether she ever questioned Nandini about her own affairs. She further asks whether she ever questioned Nandini’s current relationship with Shashwat. Ishani says she is not a child and can clearly see what is going on between Shashwat and Nandini. Shashwat again demands that Ishani confess about her affairs. Ishani tells him that he is insulting her. Shashwat coldly tells her to tell him everything before evening, if she wants to.
