Anupama and Devika adore Jaya. Anupama asks her what she is doing. Jaya says since Anupama is sitting with her BFF, she is sitting with hers. Devika tells Anupama that Jaya’s mother has passed away, so she decided to adopt her, adding that Jaya gives her a reason to live. Anupama says cancer can’t win.
Devika asks if Anupama is going back to Mumbai and whether Mumbai is special. Anupama worries about the Shahs. Devika tells her to stop worrying and move on with her life. Anupama talks about their kids. She is shocked to see Gautam and begins to worry about the family. Devika reminds her not to control everyone’s lives, as the kids are grown up and responsible for their own happiness and sorrow.

Vasundhara prepares for Diwali and asks Gautam why he is doing the decorations. Gautam requests to handle it himself. Mahi is smitten by Gautam. They fall while he saves her. Ansh gets angry, but Mahi defends Gautam. Prarthana wonders why Mahi is so crazy about him. Mahi says Gautam has changed, but no one tries to understand him. Prarthana decides to stop Mahi from falling into Gautam’s trap.
Anupama and the Shahs celebrate the new year and a new beginning. She says life gives 365 days, and one should grab every opportunity. Anupama notices Ishani on her mobile and becomes doubtful. Devika asks her to stop worrying. Still, Anupama checks with Pakhi and Ishani to ensure they are fine. Pakhi decides to take Ishani to the Kothari house. Anupama senses a storm is about to hit the family and worries about the future.
Rahi spots Prem on his mobile and gets furious. She checks his phone, but Prem snatches it and accuses her of jealousy. Rahi is shocked.
Vasundhara prepares for the puja. Parag asks if she needs anything. She says she wants the Kotharis’ reputation restored. Parag asks her to focus on family instead of business. Vasundhara decides Gautam will assist Parag in the upcoming deal instead of Ansh, shocking Parag.
Mahi confesses her love for Gautam. Prarthana warns her about him, but Mahi defends him and asks her to stop interfering.
The Kotharis and Shahs perform the Govardhan Puja. Jaya asks about the festival, and Anupama explains how Lord Krishna lifted the Govardhan mountain on his little finger to protect the villagers. Both families praise Lord Krishna.
Precap: Anupama notices Mahi and Gautam together. Vasundhara asks Anupama to leave and never return. Anupama says she will come back if her kids need her. Prarthana warns Anupama about Ansh and Mahi’s growing closeness.
