Jhanak tells Sakhi that Rishi is going to marry Aditi soon. Sakhi protests, saying this is wrong because Jhanak is legally Rishi’s wife. Jhanak explains that their marriage was forced and holds no value in the eyes of the law. She says she acts with Rishi as a normal couple and has decided never to return to Kolkata. Sakhi offers to tell the villagers so they can go to Kolkata to seek justice for Jhanak, but Jhanak stops her. She insists she told Rishi to marry Aditi and has no issue with their marriage. She refuses to come between them and says she never truly accepted Rishi as her husband. Sakhi insists that the marriage cannot happen, but Jhanak asks her to keep this a secret and promises to reveal the truth at the right time.

Sakhi cries, and Jhanak questions why she is upset. Jhanak says she must focus on her studies. Sakhi tells her to eat before studying and promises to keep her secret, then leaves. Alone, Jhanak reflects and realizes she thinks she loves Rishi.
Meanwhile, Rishi tells Aditi that Jhanak is his responsibility and that he will intervene if she faces any problems. He plans for Jhanak to declare their marriage invalid once her exams are over. Aditi asks if he is certain, and Rishi confirms he knows Jhanak well. Neelu shifts the discussion to marriage preparations, and Abhimanyu instructs her to accompany Aditi for shopping.
Dadabhai reminds Aditi that he took responsibility for Jhanak’s studies, ensuring she will continue in Kolkata. Aditi says she has no objection to Jhanak’s studies but insists that Jhanak cannot stay in the same house. Dadabhai replies that Jhanak will remain there until hostel arrangements are made.
Later, Parashar notices that Jhanak still has a fever and considers informing Rishi, but Jhanak assures him she will be fine. Parashar asks if she has spoken to Rishi, and Jhanak admits she doesn’t know where her phone is. Parashar finds her phone and sees several missed calls from Rishi.
Kanka questions why they should care for Jhanak, since she is a guest. Parashar asserts that Jhanak is his daughter, and he has a right to look after her, but he merely wanted to inform Rishi about her condition. Jhanak firmly tells him that Rishi need not be disturbed. Mangal argues that Rishi should know about his wife’s condition.
Jhanak yells at everyone, insisting they do not call Rishi. Sakhi supports her, saying Jhanak will contact Rishi herself. Parashar, Mangal, and Kanka leave, respecting her wishes. Jhanak tells Sakhi that she doesn’t want any problems for Rishi.
