Putul urges Jhanak not to go to Aniruddh’s house, saying her father could have supported her education. Jhanak tells her not to worry, adding she will visit but not return. Putul points out that Jhanak is hurt because Aniruddh refused to accept her. Jhanak firmly says she does not want a father like Aniruddh, and that Parashar is her true father, praising his love despite not being her biological parent.

Dadabhai arrives and stops Putul from questioning Jhanak further. Jhanak explains she wants to stay but cannot, because constant conflict in the house makes it impossible. She says she tried convincing Aditi, but Aditi does not trust her. She decides to leave so everyone can live peacefully and bids them goodbye emotionally.
Dadabhai questions her decision, but Jhanak insists everyone hates her. Putul reminds her that she is ignoring Dadabhai’s feelings. Jhanak acknowledges their pain but leaves after hearing a car horn. Mishti later notices that Jhanak forgot her books.
At Aniruddh’s house, Arshi informs Anjana that Jhanak will stay until her exams. She instructs Suraj to show the outhouse. Anjana objects, concerned about safety. Jhanak confidently says she can protect herself and reveals a billhook machete from her bag. Arshi mocks her behavior, but Anjana supports Jhanak’s caution.
Arshi criticizes Jhanak, saying such weapons are unnecessary in the city and mocks her lack of money. Jhanak replies that her journey matters more than wealth. The tension escalates when Anjana suggests letting Jhanak stay in the guest room, but Arshi insists she will stay like a maid.
Jhanak accepts working, saying she does not eat free food, but questions why Arshi hid this intention earlier. Arshi threatens to complain to Aniruddh. Jhanak delivers a sharp response, stating she could have destroyed Aniruddh’s reputation but chose not to because of her upbringing from Nutan. She accuses them of hypocrisy and refuses to give Aniruddh importance.
Arshi reminds her she is still a maid and orders her to handle decorations. Jhanak agrees confidently, unafraid of work, and walks away, leaving Arshi frustrated.
The next day, Rishi and Aditi prepare to visit Aniruddh’s house. Putul gives Jhanak’s books to Rishi. Tanushri criticizes Jhanak for forgetting them, while Aditi taunts Putul. Rishi supports Putul, suggesting she pursue singing. Aditi dismisses the idea, calling it difficult.
Putul defends herself and expresses pride in Jhanak’s maturity before leaving. Aditi complains about Putul to Indumati, calling her negative. Rishi advises understanding Putul, while Aditi asks him to send the books through a servant. Rishi refuses, saying it is his responsibility.
