Ashalata claims that Maa Durga held Noyontara’s pallu and signaled that she should not leave the house. Everyone chants “Maa Durga ki jai.” Noyontara becomes emotional. Surjo dismisses the moment as nonsense. He tells Noyontara that Karuna called her a liar and says he knows what she did with Shaoli and Mala. Surjo refuses to trust her and decides to apologize to Shaoli, then leaves.

Meanwhile, Shaoli notices Surjo approaching her room and lies down on the bed. Surjo asks about her legs. Shaoli replies that her legs are fine but her shoulder has turned black and she feels too weak to get up. Surjo says he came to apologize on Noyontara’s behalf because she crossed all limits today. He also mentions that everyone stopped Noyontara from leaving the house. Shaoli asks why Noyontara is still there when Surjo ordered her to leave. Surjo questions how she knows this. Shaoli lies that she overheard someone talking. She continues by calling Noyontara impure and unlucky for ruining the puja. Surjo reminds her that Noyontara has done a lot for the family and walks away. Shaoli decides she must prove to everyone that Noyontara is impure.

Elsewhere, Shashodar instructs Noyontara to prepare everything for the next day. Mala objects, asking how he can trust Noyontara after what happened. Noyontara calmly replies that she will punish herself and smiles.

The next day, Noyontara senses that Shaoli will attempt something against her. She prays to Maa Durga for strength. Meanwhile, Mala asks Shaoli about her plan. Shaoli says she will execute it today. She goes to the balcony and causes a crow to drop onto Noyontara’s Navpatrika thali. Mala calls it a bad omen and claims Noyontara made a ghost do this to stop the puja.

Noyontara dramatically agrees that it is indeed a bad omen. Mala reminds her about her earlier statement of punishing herself but says Noyontara is simply fooling them. Noyontara walks inside and taunts Shaoli. Shaoli claims everyone has begun to suspect Noyontara and predicts that even her supporters will throw her out of the house tonight. Noyontara tells Shaoli not to stop her actions because she is indirectly helping her. Shaoli becomes confused about how she is helping Noyontara.

Later, Shaoli secretly extinguishes the diyas as Noyontara approaches them. Mala announces to the family that Noyontara is a bad omen. The priest agrees. Mala claims Noyontara is a ghostly girl and warns that keeping her in the house invites death. Shashodar scolds Mala and tells Noyontara to light the diyas again. Noyontara tries but fails repeatedly. Finally, Poulomi lights the diyas. Mala uses the moment to insist that this proves Noyontara is a ghostly girl.

Precap: Noyontara outsmarts Shaoli.
