They see Mala talking to herself, claiming she did everything on Noyontara’s instructions. She says Noyontara turned a normal fish into a clay fish and also exchanged Maa Durga’s jewels. Surjo questions her. Mala looks at Noyontara and begs her to give her freedom, declaring she is not Surjo’s aunt but Noyontara’s slave. She asks Noyontara to place a hand on her head to free her. Noyontara notices the strange behavior and tells Mala to stop lying. Mala continues accusing Noyontara, saying she ruined both Shaoli and Mala’s reputations. Noyontara wonders why Mala suddenly says all this.
Meanwhile, Noyontara’s mother Karuna searches for everyone. Shaoli approaches her and pretends to be frightened, asking Karuna to save her from Noyontara. She claims Noyontara can even kill her with the help of ghosts. Karuna defends Noyontara, saying she only helps ghosts find freedom. Shaoli insists Noyontara is jealous of her and tried to stop the puja because Shaoli received the responsibility for it. She reminds Karuna about bringing the fish and requests her to question Noyontara. Karuna recalls receiving the call from Noyontara and also remembers Noyontara denying it. Deciding to stop the injustice, she leaves to confront her daughter. Shaoli smiles with satisfaction.
Karuna takes Noyontara aside and scolds her, accusing her of using ghosts to stop the puja. Noyontara insists Mala is acting. Karuna asks if Shaoli is lying as well. Noyontara explains Shaoli is an evil ghost and warns her mother not to trust her. Karuna refuses to believe this, saying Noyontara has lied since childhood and can ruin lives with the help of ghosts. Surjo overhears their argument.
Karuna continues accusing Noyontara of attempting to stop the puja. Noyontara pleads with her not to misunderstand. Karuna says marriage into a wealthy family has changed her and calls her selfish. Surjo then orders Noyontara to leave the house, saying he cannot tolerate more drama. He accuses her of doing all this out of jealousy and drags her toward Mala, forcing Noyontara to place her hand on Mala’s head. Mala claims she has received freedom and collapses unconscious.
Watching the scene, Shaoli enjoys Surjo humiliating Noyontara. Surjo again orders Noyontara to leave. Mohor objects, calling the decision unfair, while Ashalata insists Noyontara must have had a reason for her actions. Surjo refuses to believe her and decides to cancel the puja. He walks inside.
Noyontara follows him and says she will leave if necessary, but the puja should not be stopped. Shashodar intervenes, telling Noyontara she should not leave the house and must decide whose words she will follow. Noyontara silently prays, believing Maa Durga will decide her fate.
Precap: Shaoli taunts Noyontara, saying her visarjan will happen today. She mocks Noyontara for forgetting she is fighting against ghosts and pushes her into the river.
