Banni continues to pour her heart out, describing the struggles faced by middle-class girls. Manini accuses her of finding shortcuts to reach the palace from a low-class locality and angrily orders her to leave immediately, claiming she cannot tolerate Banni insulting her “friend.” Banni tries to leave in tears. Anchal asks her to return Yuvan’s other ring before going. Banni says Yuvan should take it back as he is supposed to marry Niyati. Yuvan, however, insists on keeping the ring and says he will marry both Banni and Niyati, just like Hemant has two marriages. Hemant angrily slaps Yuvan, but Devraj scolds him for raising his hand on the boy.
Banni tells Hemant that he knows his son is mentally unstable and could have handled him with love. Hemant leaves feeling guilty. Manini shouts at Banni again, demanding she leave the house. Charmi and Alpana try to forcibly remove the ring from Banni’s finger, but Banni pulls back, showing the pain it causes. She says the ring may be worth crores, but her finger is priceless because it feeds so many people. Guests comment that Banni is from their basti and that Yuvan was wrong to place the ring on her finger.
Feeling guilty for slapping Yuvan, Hemant is comforted by Manini, who shows him Anchal’s rings and suggests they can proceed with getting Banni and Yuvan engaged using them. Charmi and Alpana attempt again to pull the ring from Banni’s finger but fail. Banni says she will get it removed properly via a goldsmith. Manini forces Yuvan to exchange the ring with Niyati and completes their engagement, with everyone clapping. Yuvan feels disheartened and drops his engagement ring. Manini picks it up, blaming the jeweler for the loose fit.
On her way home, Banni recalls Yuvan placing the ring on her finger and Manini humiliating her. She feels disheartened that her friendship with Yuvan was humiliated despite his innocence and stubbornness.
Myra urges Devraj to “do some magic” to get Yuvan married to Banni, but Sulekha says it’s impossible in real life. Yuvan goes to Devraj and pleads to marry Banni, saying he feels safe in her presence and explaining how Banni protects him, claiming she was sent by his mother from the stars. Devraj feels helpless.
At Banni’s house, Vishnu tries to remove the ring by soaking her finger in water, but Banni asks him to be careful as it is Yuvan’s mother’s precious ring.
Precap: Manini shouts at Banni to leave her house. Goon Raja threatens Banni to return the 3-lakh loan taken by her mamusa, or else marry him. Viraj assaults Yuvan.
