SUMMARY
Katha Kumari Rathi, a dedicated botanist, spends her days nurturing plants with quiet devotion. When the topic of love and marriage arises, she firmly expresses her disbelief in them—determined not to repeat the painful experiences her late mother faced. The presence of her mother's photo on the wall adds emotional depth to her resolve.
On the other side is Udayveer Jindal, a charming and handsome chef who runs a cozy café. When Uday and Katha cross paths, the encounter is anything but pleasant. A heated argument erupts, and Uday vows revenge—triggered possibly by something Katha says about his mother.
PLOT
Katha Kumari Rathi is a gentle, grounded botanist who finds joy in cultivating plants and living a disciplined, simple life. She lives with her Uncle Mohan and Aunt, holding tightly to traditional values.
In contrast, Udayveer “UV” Jindal is a charismatic celebrity chef who manages a lively café on Katha’s college campus. Though he belongs to a large joint family, he shares strained relationships with many members—except his cousins. His childhood trauma, centered around his mother’s unexplained departure from the Jindal home, continues to haunt him as he quietly searches for answers.
Their worlds clash on Fresher’s Day, when UV and his cousins disrupt Katha’s meticulously planned traditional ceremony with spontaneous dancing and music. Order-loving Katha is deeply irritated. Coincidentally, the Gangaur Pooja is scheduled for the same day. Entrusted by his grandfather Eeshwar Jindal to bring a sacred plant for the ritual, UV forgets. Katha steps in, arrives at the Jindal household with Mohan, and saves the situation.
She further impresses the elders by singing the hymns live—when others prefer recorded music—winning admiration from Eeshwar and other seniors. This frustrates UV and his cousins even more. Tension peaks when Katha respectfully informs Eeshwar that the food served does not align with traditional customs, intensifying the rift between Eeshwar and UV. Feeling insulted, UV vows to teach Katha a lesson—by charming her into falling for him.
Meanwhile, a storm brews at home as Naina, Mohan’s daughter who once eloped on her wedding day, suddenly returns. Her parents treat her coldly due to past hurt, but Katha welcomes her with kindness and advises her elders to give Naina time without questioning her.
As UV’s revenge plan progresses, Katha unknowingly begins developing a crush on him—until she overhears UV boasting to his cousins about trapping her. Heartbroken, she reaffirms her belief that men cannot be trusted.
Later, at a party organized by Tammy (UV's friend), Katha’s friend Prerna is almost abducted. UV helps her save Prerna, but Katha assumes this was another move in his scheme—to appear as her savior. Determined to take action, she pushes to have UV’s café shut down, citing the attempted kidnapping. Amid the chaos, UV is arrested. Though Katha withdraws her complaint, the café remains closed.
