Ritesh takes the keys to his brand-new car. Rahul informs him that the vehicle is parked outside and ready. Ritesh asks whether the car has been modified exactly as he instructed. The staff confirms it, and Ritesh becomes emotional. He walks toward a particular room but stops outside, refusing to step in. He hands the keys to Rahul and tells him to give them to the person inside. Rahul objects, saying that for every film release, he has always gone inside with the poster, and Ritesh must do it today as well. Ritesh refuses, so Rahul finally agrees and enters.
Inside the room sits a paralyzed woman surrounded by caretakers who are helping her eat. Rahul kneels before Ritesh’s mother and tells her that Ritesh’s new film is releasing today, and he has bought a car specially designed for her because she used to love long drives. Ritesh watches from outside with tears in his eyes but remains unable to enter. Rahul seeks her blessing and then comes out. He gently asks Ritesh how long he plans to avoid facing his mother.
Ritesh replies that he can never forgive himself because he believes he is the reason for her present condition. He wipes his eyes, puts on his sunglasses and says it is show time, then walks away. Rahul thinks to himself that the world calls Ritesh a superstar and imagines he has a perfect life, but no one knows how lonely he is even though he is surrounded by people who claim to love him.
Later at dinner, Rahul explains their schedule for the day and tells Ritesh they can enjoy a party after five. Ritesh becomes cheerful. Rahul hands him a photograph and says the RTO officer requested his autograph. Ritesh signs it and tells Rahul to speak to the officer about processing his car registration early. Rahul agrees.
At the RTO office, Indu is busy with paperwork when she receives a call from Ritesh. He introduces himself but Indu assumes it is a prank and replies that she must then be Deepika Padukone. She hangs up. Ritesh complains to Rahul who laughs. Ritesh tries calling again. Indu is about to leave with a file but answers when she hears the phone ringing. This time Ritesh quickly asks her not to disconnect and mentions his car number to convince her.
Indu apologises. Ritesh tells her he is grateful for the fast registration. Indu replies that she should be the one thanking him because he unknowingly helped her take a life changing decision that made her world beautiful. Ritesh is touched. They wish each other well. He also tells her that the car she approved earlier will bring joy to someone very dear to him.
Rahul then briefs Ritesh about their visit to the multiplex where they must meet a minister. He assures Ritesh that his jacket is already in the car. The theatre staff also calls, confirming all preparations. Ritesh feels excited.
Indu steps out of her office and meets a man who has come for a driving test. She places a Bluetooth earpiece and calls Anjali, asking her to pick up Zoon from school. Anjali says she is on her way. Meanwhile Indu gets into an argument with a man who damages her bike. She continues guiding the person taking the driving test. Then she receives a call from Anjali who says Zoon is not in the classroom. Indu instructs her to check with the security guard. The man taking the driving test hears her instructions and mistakenly follows them, thinking they are meant for him, and complains that she is confusing him.
Anjali checks the waiting area and informs Indu that Zoon is not there either. Indu begins to panic. She realises the man beside her has followed the wrong instructions because of her. She apologises and asks him to return in the evening. He refuses because he plans to watch Ritesh’s movie. Indu suddenly remembers Zoon wanting to see Ritesh’s film and immediately tells Anjali to search the nearby theatre.
Anjali agrees. Meanwhile Zoon is found by their neighbour who works at the cinema. He takes her inside a waiting room and scolds her for coming alone. Zoon admits she was upset but will feel better after watching Ritesh’s movie. He warns her but promises to help her meet Ritesh. He then asks his coworker to look after her.
The staff member named Raghav keeps Zoon company. He explains that before every film release, fans apply vermilion on Ritesh’s cutout because they believe it brings good luck. Zoon listens curiously. Indu reaches the theatre and starts searching frantically. At the same time, Ritesh arrives and throws his bracelet into the crowd, waving as his fans cheer loudly. Indu and Anjali continue their desperate search. Back home, Vivek enters the house and Zoon’s photo frame falls and breaks. He becomes worried. Indu feels an uneasy fear and tells herself something bad might happen to Zoon.
Precap: Indu searches the theatre for Zoon. Zoon climbs on a stool to apply vermilion on Ritesh’s cutout. Indu spots her and shouts her name. Ritesh also notices her. Zoon loses balance and falls from the height while Ritesh runs towards her.
