Indu says that although the city has not changed much in five years, everything inside the Raina house is different. She explains that Zoon has filled their lives with joy. She remembers how her brother passed away in a car accident in Canada and how his wife Asha has been shattered but continues to stay strong. She also talks about her parents who never stop arguing and her mother’s constant desire to find a suitable partner for her. Indu then says she is now working as an RTO officer and that this job is important because they have loans to repay. She gets ready for the day and proudly says that Zoon is her world. She calls out for her daughter and smiles when she realises Zoon has disappeared as usual.
Zoon is seen playing with other children. She becomes excited when one of the kids succeeds in knocking down a stone with a ball. All the children cheer happily for the boy who did it. Vivek arrives there, greets Zoon and asks why she is not playing with the rest of the group. Zoon replies that she cannot run like them because of her leg problem and the kids refuse to accept her in their team. She adds that they make fun of her and says if her father were with her, he would scold them for treating her this way.
Vivek tells her that her uncle is here now and promises to handle whoever bothers her. Zoon points at Nikhil. Nikhil approaches to collect his play kit but Vivek stops him and questions him for excluding Zoon. Nikhil mocks Zoon again and proudly calls himself a fast runner. Vivek challenges him, catches his shirt and demands he apologise. Nikhil gets scared and does so before running off.
Indu calls for Zoon. Vivek wishes Zoon good luck for her first day of school and tells her to call him if anyone troubles her. Indu helps Zoon get ready. Zoon tells her about how Vivek handled Nikhil and again mentions her difficulty walking. Indu reminds her of the doctor’s assurance that her leg will heal soon. She also says she wants to find the person responsible for the accident that injured Zoon two years ago. Zoon asks how she plans to find that person while she continues her drawing.
Indu accidentally drops Zoon’s things from the table and while picking them up, she finds a picture of Ritesh. She asks Zoon about it. Zoon happily says she loves Ritesh and is a big fan of his films. She adds that if she had a father, he would lift and spin her just like Ritesh did in his latest movie. Indu says her mother can spin her the same way. She twirls Zoon around, making her laugh. Somewhere else, Rahul performs aarti for Ritesh and tells him that his new film will become a blockbuster.
Ritesh tells Rahul he wants his new car delivered today. Rahul explains that their assistant has already gone to the RTO office to complete the registration. He also reminds Ritesh about the day’s schedule before Ritesh leaves to get dressed. Indu sends Zoon outside to stay with Rajender and Asha while she packs her school things. She looks at Ritesh’s photograph again and remembers how his dialogue once inspired her to take responsibility for Zoon. She thanks Ritesh in her heart and wishes him well.
Zoon reaches school and feels sad seeing the other children with both their parents. Indu arrives and gives her the handkerchief she forgot in the auto. She asks why Zoon is upset. Zoon says everyone has both their parents with them, while she has only her mother. Indu tells her she is both her mother and her father and says that having two parents is common but being special like Zoon is rare. Zoon smiles a little and goes inside the school. Indu then heads to the RTO office where she approves the registration papers for Ritesh’s car. She requests the assistant to bring her a photocopy of Ritesh’s autograph for Zoon, and he agrees.
Payal asks Indu if she wants the autograph only for Zoon and then questions when Indu plans to tell Zoon the truth that she is not her biological mother. She advises Indu to reveal everything before Zoon finds out from someone else. Indu becomes tense but says she will tell Zoon soon.
At school a child proudly talks about her father. The teacher asks Zoon to speak about her father. Before she can answer, Nikhil says Zoon does not even have a father and the kids begin to laugh at her. Zoon says her mother is her father too and she is special because she has both in one person. The children continue teasing her until the teacher scolds them and makes Nikhil apologise. Zoon sits quietly with tears in her eyes.
Precap: Anjali informs Indu that Zoon is not in school. Indu tells her to check the location where Ritesh’s film event is happening. Both of them search the crowded mall where Zoon waits excitedly for Ritesh. Ritesh arrives and the crowd erupts with excitement. Indu spots him and calls out for Zoon in shock.
