Indu apologizes to Rajender, who is struggling in the bus with his injuries. Rajender tells her not to apologise to anyone. He reminds her that she loved Mahesh sincerely, but it was Mahesh who betrayed her, so she should stop blaming herself. Indu steps away saying she will get an extra blanket, but thinks to herself that her love caused humiliation to her father and she will never let her family suffer again. Remembering Mahesh’s harsh words, Indu reaches the edge of the bus and jumps, but it turns out to be Rajender’s nightmare.
He wakes up shouting Indu’s name and panics when he realizes she isn’t beside him. He finds her sitting in a corner, and Indu asks him gently if he had a nightmare. She even guesses that he saw her committing suicide. Indu reassures him with a smile, saying she would never take such a step. She reminds him of her mother overcoming cancer, her father selling their house for her brother’s future, and his voluntary retirement for their sake. She insists she will never hurt them and that love is only a part of life, not her whole life. She tells him to stop worrying and rest.
The bus suddenly halts, waking the passengers. The driver and his assistant find a woman standing in the middle of the road and yell at her. Indu gets down to see what is happening and is shocked to find the woman pregnant. Indu scolds the driver and asks the woman if she needs help. The woman, Kadambari, says she wants to go to Mumbai. Indu tells her the bus is also headed there. The driver refuses, but Rajender convinces them by giving some money.
Inside the bus, Indu and Rajender talk to Kadambari, who reveals she ran away from home to marry her lover, who stayed with her for two years, got her pregnant, and then left her for someone else. Kadambari cries that she wants to die, but Indu and Rajender stop her.
Kadambari suddenly goes into labour. Indu and Rajender panic and ask for help. A nurse in the bus comes forward and helps Kadambari deliver a baby girl. When the nurse hands the baby to Kadambari, she pushes the baby away and falls asleep. Rajender tells Indu to stay with her and leaves.
The next morning, Rajender wakes Indu and asks where Kadambari is. Indu is shocked to see she has disappeared. The assistant claims he warned them that the woman would bring trouble. Indu argues with him. He suggests they leave the baby at the lost-and-found department so Kadambari can come back for her child. Rajender also advises Indu to do it.
At that time, a crowd gathers nearby because Ritesh’s film shoot is happening. Indu walks past him, and her shawl brushes against Ritesh. He follows her but loses her in the crowd. Rahul takes him back to work.
Indu asks the officer where to leave the baby. When she sees the dusty room full of unclaimed items, she hesitates. The officer rudely tells her to leave the baby and walks off. Indu places the baby on the table and turns to leave, but her shawl gets stuck in the baby’s tiny fingers. Crying, she frees it and walks away.
Precap: Indu stops when she hears Ritesh talking about how a child recognises the person who first holds her lovingly as her mother, even if she isn’t the biological one. He says abandoning the child will haunt her forever. Later, Sunita opens the door and is shocked to see Indu. Anjali and Vivek are also stunned.
