Meanwhile, Surjo recalls his father ordering him to get married. In a flashback, Surjo blames himself for Shaoli’s death, telling his mother that the car’s brakes had failed, and it was his responsibility to check them. He feels guilty that Shaoli died due to his negligence, believing this guilt will never leave him. His mother advises him to consider it a bad dream and move on. She assures him she will find a new girl for Surjo, and everything will be fine.
In the present, Grandma approaches Surjo and confesses that she has been wanting to tell him something for a long time. Surjo dismisses her, asking her to give Grandpa’s medicine instead. Grandma reminds him that no one likes her because she is the third wife of his Grandpa—the first wife passed away, and the second ran away. She claims that Grandpa is alive because of her. Surjo asks her what she wants to say. Grandma questions whether the brake failure was an accident or deliberate, hinting that someone may have wanted Surjo to marry another woman.
Surjo asks her whom she means. Grandma admits she does not know for sure, but says she knows Surjo loved Shaoli deeply. She warns him not to ruin a girl’s life by marrying when he cannot love anyone else, adding that Shaoli’s spirit would be hurt if he married. After saying this, she leaves. Surjo’s aunt asks her brother if it is right to force Surjo into marriage, and he tells her to consult the priest.
Meanwhile, Hashiram tells Noyontara that she will eventually meet someone who will love her unconditionally. Noyontara laments that no one could ever love her because people are scared of her abilities. Hashiram creates a marriage mandap for her. Noyontara sees herself getting married, though the groom’s face is hidden. She smiles at the vision and then wakes up from her dream.
Back with Surjo’s family, his uncle scolds his wife for treating servants like family. Aunt tells him to talk to Surjo’s father, revealing that Surjo’s marriage talks are ongoing. Uncle is surprised that Surjo agreed to the marriage.
The next day, Noyontara goes out and reunites with her family. Her father comes to take her home, and she hugs him emotionally. Komolika, her sister, also embraces her and inquires about their mother. Komolika says their mother is waiting at home. Pool comments that her in-laws are very wealthy, and marriage arrangements are underway. Noyontara wonders about her role in the auspicious work but refuses to go with them.
