Ambika questions Ishani about why she did not return with Pihu. Ishani reminds her mother that Ambika is fully aware of everything she endured in her marital home. Ambika insists that marriage demands adjustment. In response, Ishani asks why she should keep adjusting when all she ever wanted was a little love and respect. Ambika argues that as a married woman, Ishani belongs in her in-laws’ house. However, Ishani firmly states that she cannot allow anyone to crush her self-respect. She recalls how she silently tolerated humiliation and how Shashwat chose to trust Jeet over her. She tells Ambika that no one can truly understand the pain she is living with.
Ambika scolds Ishani for speaking this way and claims she has still not learned her lesson. She bitterly remarks that the world belongs to men and that women are not even allowed to speak of self-respect. She worries that Shashwat may never accept Ishani again. Ishani reassures her mother that she will not become a burden. She declares that she will find a job and stand on her own feet. Ambika accuses Ishani of repeating past mistakes and says she lost many things because of her daughter’s attitude. Ishani painfully points out that Jeet continues to live with respect despite his crimes, while she is the one forced to suffer.
At Shashwat’s house, Pihu returns alone. Shashwat asks her where Ishani is. Pihu reminds him that he is Ishani’s husband and that it was his responsibility to bring her home. She firmly tells him to go himself. Shashwat mocks the situation, questioning whether Ishani suddenly thinks she is an IPS officer. Raj Didi laughs at his remark, which angers Pihu. Raj Didi comments that Pihu has changed. Pihu responds that she is simply standing by the truth and admits she would never want a husband who disrespects his wife. She reveals that Ishani wants to work.
Shashwat doubts who would ever give Ishani a job. Pihu says this reaction is exactly what she expected from her father. She confidently states that Ishani is intelligent and determined, and she will not return without self-respect. Raj Didi claims that Pihu did her duty by going to fetch Ishani, and since Ishani refused, the matter is over. Pihu strongly disagrees, insisting that Shashwat should have gone himself. She reminds him of everything Ishani sacrificed for the family and urges him to think about her just once. She warns that once Ishani becomes independent, she will never return. With folded hands, Pihu pleads with her father to bring Ishani back.
Raj Didi tries to silence Pihu, but Pihu firmly asks her not to interfere. Raj Didi threatens to leave the house. Pihu bluntly reminds her that she has nowhere else to go and tells her to learn how to respect Ishani. In a shocking move, Pihu tells Shashwat that if he is unwilling to bring Ishani home, then he should divorce her. Shashwat is left stunned by her words.
The following day, Shashwat arrives at Ishani’s house. He tells her that he has come to take her back. Ishani coldly asks whether she is expected to return as a wife or merely as a caretaker. She expresses her fear that Shashwat may doubt her again in the future. She questions why he failed to come the previous day and ultimately refuses to return with him.
