Yuvan looks at himself in the mirror and sees his reflection in weird shapes, which scares him. He recalls what his mother said—that if someone breaks a promise, their face changes. Viraj and Charmi witness this and laugh at him.
Banni notices that the Kalash needs cleaning and tries to do it, but Devraj stops her, saying there are servants for such tasks. Banni insists she will do it. Devraj explains that a new daughter-in-law’s Mehndi is more precious than a pearl and calls a servant to clean the Kalash. Banni internally thinks, “Devraj is not even letting me do anything. How can I tell him I have to cook for my customers too?”
Yuvan recalls recent events and becomes hysterical when he enters his room and sees that his mother’s photo is missing.
Veer and Alpana gossip about Banni’s character, saying she will do anything for property. They speak loud enough for her to hear, intending to humiliate her. Yuvan, startled by flickering lights, calls out his mother’s name in fear. Viraj and Charmi watch, thinking their plan is working. Banni responds cleverly, saying such talk is meant only to stop someone from moving forward. Meanwhile, Yuvan reflects on his broken promise.
Manini advises Banni, reminding her that relationships have ups and downs she hasn’t yet seen. She asks Banni if she loves Yuvan enough to forgive his mistakes. Banni recalls her mother’s advice and says, “You only marry someone who can love you deeply. If he makes a mistake, it’s also mine, and in front of love, all mistakes are small.” Yuvan silently seeks forgiveness from his mother, and Banni offers an Aarthi to God.
Yuvan comes downstairs and talks to Devraj about the promise. Devraj advises him not to discuss it in front of others. Yuvan recounts what he saw and felt, but Devraj jokingly asks if he got scared after watching a horror movie. Overwhelmed, Yuvan accidentally urinates on himself. Manini calls Shankar to clean it, but Alpana insists that Banni should do it. Viraj supports her.
Devraj protests, asking how Banni can clean it. Charmi argues it is her responsibility. Banni takes the cloth and bucket from Shankar, but Yuvan tries to stop her. Banni firmly says, “Why not? If I were sick in bed and urinated on myself, would you not clean it?” Yuvan says he will clean it, but Banni insists it’s now her turn. Viraj comments sarcastically. Banni says, “You can see the dirt, and I can see the fear in my husband. I can clean it from the floor and also from Yuvan’s heart.”
Precap: Banni worries about her deliveries. Alpana tells the servants that Banni’s deliveries will not go out. Banni notices all her deliveries are still there. Manini thinks that during the Mooh Dikhayi ceremony, Banni will be insulted.
