Dolly performs aarti for everyone at the Malhotra house. Gayatri and Bhavna arrive there. Rahul questions their presence, but Ritesh clarifies that he called them. Gayatri apologizes to Ritesh for their carelessness. Ritesh also apologizes for his behavior toward them. Gayatri says that Zoon is very lucky to have both Ritesh and Indu, as they are extremely protective of her.

Ritesh tells Gayatri that Zoon is a sweet child and anyone can easily fall in love with her. He then reveals his plan to adopt Zoon. Gayatri informs him that, according to the law, the court will not allow a single man to adopt a child. Ritesh and Rahul are shocked, while Kaamna becomes worried. An angry Ritesh orders Rahul to call Jatin immediately.
At the Raina house, Anjali takes Zoon into the room as per Indu’s instructions.
Indu announces to the family that she has decided to legally adopt Zoon and file the petition the same day. Sunita warns her about the consequences and pleads with her to reconsider. Indu says that the day she brought Zoon home, she had already decided to adopt her legally, and now she will fulfill that decision. She leaves the house. Vivek follows her and asks her to wear sandals. Indu tells him she has decided to walk barefoot until she gets Zoon’s custody and leaves.
On the other side, Ritesh confronts Jatin for giving him false hope regarding Zoon’s adoption. He questions why Jatin did this and threatens to cancel his license. A frightened Jatin is about to reveal the truth, but Kaamna, who overhears everything, enters the room, lashes out at Jatin, and forces him to leave. She tells Ritesh that she will hire a better advocate, but Ritesh refuses, saying he will handle everything related to Zoon’s custody himself, and walks away.
Dolly and Deep meet Ritesh and express how bad they feel about Zoon. They offer their help. Ritesh gets an idea and smiles at Rahul, who looks confused.
Meanwhile, lawyer Meghna meets Indu and Vivek in her office. She tells Indu that Atul has explained all the case details and that she has studied everything herself. Before accepting the case, she wants to know why Indu wants Zoon’s custody. Indu replies that Zoon is her daughter. Meghna says this is the perfect answer for court, but she wants to know Indu’s real intentions. She also mentions that she knows what Indu said against Zoon in court earlier.
Indu explains that she was helpless, which is why she spoke against her own daughter. She questions Meghna, asking if anyone would have raised such doubts had the same things been done by Zoon’s biological parents. She adds that because she is not Zoon’s biological mother, everyone criticizes her actions. She does not care about that. All she cares about is her daughter. Meghna agrees to take the case, making Indu happy.
Later, Rahul asks Ritesh if he really thinks his plan will work. Ritesh says yes. He wants Zoon to live in a happy and peaceful environment and get everything she deserves. Once he gets full custody of Zoon, he will allow Indu to meet her, but he wants Zoon to stay with him.
Sameer meets Kadambari. Kadambari asks what benefit he will gain by supporting her instead of his brother Ritesh. Sameer says it is because he considers her his friend. Kadambari is convinced and reveals that her lawyer has assured her she will get Zoon’s custody because she is her biological mother. She smiles confidently.
Indu is working in her room when Zoon comes to her and says she cannot sleep at Vivek’s house. Indu takes Zoon in her lap and tells her about her decision to file a custody petition. Zoon asks her to explain. Indu says they love each other, but society believes they need the court’s permission, so she is going to take that permission for their sake. Zoon assures Indu that she will win the case and no one can separate them. Indu feels relieved and happy.
The next day, Indu takes Rajendra’s blessings. Sunita arrives with curd and sugar and asks Asha to feed Indu as a good-luck ritual. Indu gets emotional and takes Sunita’s blessings. Zoon comes to wish Indu good luck and says that Matarani’s blessings are with her, and she will surely win. The family feels hopeful. Indu leaves with Ritesh. Ritesh calls Zoon and asks her to wish him luck. Zoon wishes him and prays that God fulfills both Indu’s and Ritesh’s prayers, which makes the Raina family worried. Indu reaches the court.
Vivek asks Indu not to worry or feel scared. They walk toward the courtroom. Ritesh also arrives at court. The media questions him about his decision regarding adoption, but Ritesh refuses to comment. Indu tells Vivek to ignore Ritesh and focus on their case, as she wants Zoon’s custody at any cost. Sameer watches everything from behind a tree and tells himself that the target is one, but three people want the same thing.
Precap: Indu’s and Ritesh’s lawyers meet. Indu’s lawyer states that she is fighting for a mother’s rights. Later, Indu and Ritesh argue over Zoon’s custody. Indu says that with God’s blessings, she will win the case and walks toward the courtroom. The cloth tied on her forehead falls on Ritesh, who looks on silently.
Additional Scene:
Indu goes to meet Zoon. She cries upon seeing her, hugs her, and kisses her. The Raina family becomes emotional. Indu asks Zoon if she is fine and where she went. Zoon asks if she can ask something. Indu encourages her. Zoon asks if Indu is suffering only because of her and blames herself for everything. Indu and the Raina family are shocked. Indu assures Zoon that she is not a bad person and calls her the world’s best daughter.
Zoon refuses to believe it. She says that because of her, Indu had to go to the police station, stay in lockup, and suffer a lot. She decides to leave so that Indu can be happy. She adds that her biological mother also left her after birth because she was bad. A devastated Indu asks who filled her mind with such nonsense. She tells Zoon that before she entered her life, her life had no meaning.
Indu emotionally explains that when Zoon held her dupatta with her tiny finger, she found a new purpose to live. If Zoon had not come into her life, she would not even be alive today. She pleads with Zoon never to listen to anyone who says they are not mother and daughter or that Zoon is the reason for her suffering. She declares her unconditional love for her. The Raina family breaks down in tears. Zoon finally accepts Indu’s words and decides not to listen to anyone else. Gayatri watches this emotional moment silently from a corner of the room.
