Shashwat tells Pihu to eat or go to her room. Pihu says she only asked a simple question to Nandini, but Nandini is twisting it. Ishani gives milk to Pihu and asks her to go to the room. Pihu tells Shashwat that what he is doing—beating someone—is a crime. Shashwat orders her to stop and go to her room. Pihu says it was his fault, yet he is yelling at her. Ishani tells Pihu it’s not necessary to argue about everything. Pihu says she is done with it and leaves.
Later, Ishani goes to her room and sits on a chair at Shashwat’s behest. Shashwat says, “Let’s end this hide-and-seek game,” and demands to know Ishani’s relationship with Anurag. Ishani says Anurag is her professor and nothing more. Shashwat refuses to believe her and asks which professor celebrates student birthdays in the cafeteria. Ishani explains that Pihu likes Anurag.

Shashwat presses further, asking whom Anurag likes, because that is important. Ishani says Anurag offered her a lift when he saw her at the bus stop. Shashwat questions why Anurag didn’t drop her home and says he would have held her hand. Ishani asks why he would do that. Shashwat continues, reminding her that Anurag came to their house with cake and a flower bouquet. Ishani insists she didn’t invite him. Shashwat says Anurag acted because he could not tolerate that Ishani’s birthday was ignored. He then asks how Anurag would react seeing Ishani’s injuries and declares she deserves punishment for betraying him. Ishani defends herself, but Shashwat refuses to believe her.
Shashwat tells Ishani he brought her back for Pihu only. Ishani asks if he dislikes her because she isn’t independent. Shashwat admits he hates her. Ishani requests to leave the house, but Shashwat laughs and asks if she would go to Anurag, saying she might end up in his life without validation. He slaps her, declaring that he can do whatever he wants and no one can stop him. Ishani asks if he used to beat Suhasini too.
Shashwat tells her not to compare herself with Suhasini and instructs Ishani to file a false sexual harassment case against Anurag. Ishani refuses, but Shashwat insists that if she wants to continue her studies while staying in his house, she must obey him. He threatens to complain if she refuses. Ishani asks why he is doing this despite all she has done for the family. Shashwat orders her to come to college the next day to execute his plan and warns her not to act smart.
The next day, Shashwat takes Ishani to the college. Ishani tells him this is wrong, but Shashwat tells her to stop the drama and obey him.
