The episode opens with Pihu returning and checking if Ishani is alright. Her face lights up when she notices Anurag, while Ishani immediately apologises to him. Anurag gently responds that he should be the one saying sorry. Pihu explains that Ishani did not see him earlier, and Anurag assures her that it was not an issue, admitting it was partly his fault too. When Pihu asks if he is a lecturer at the college, Anurag confirms it. She excitedly tells him they have come for admission, and Anurag directs her to meet the principal. Pihu heads inside.
Left alone, Anurag asks Ishani how she has been. She replies politely and returns the question. Anurag admits he never imagined they would cross paths like this. He asks about Pihu, and Ishani reveals that Pihu is her daughter. She also clarifies that she is the second wife of Pihu’s father. Anurag shares that he returned two years ago and mentions that Ishani got married around the same time. When he asks for her phone number, Ishani firmly refuses. She then asks whether he is married, prompting Anurag to question why she is asking personal questions while withholding her own contact details. Before the conversation deepens, Pihu returns and informs Ishani that the principal is calling her inside.
Outside the office, Pihu introduces herself to Anurag and expresses her admiration for his teaching style, saying she has heard glowing reviews from seniors studying at the college. She proudly tells him that his reputation is one of the reasons she chose this institution. Anurag thanks her warmly.
Inside the principal’s office, Pihu explains that her mother, Ishani, had to discontinue her studies earlier due to unavoidable circumstances but now wishes to resume her education. Ishani is taken aback by this revelation. The principal appreciates Ishani’s determination and asks them to fill out the admission form. She praises Ishani for choosing to study again at this stage of her life. Overwhelmed, Ishani becomes emotional as they leave the office.
Outside, Pihu urges Ishani to complete the form immediately. Ishani hugs her tightly, smiling through her tears, and asks why she was not informed earlier. Pihu happily admits it was meant to be a surprise. She then reveals that she chose this college partly because Anurag teaches there and shyly asks Ishani about love at first sight, confessing that she thinks she has fallen for Anurag. Ishani is stunned by her admission and gives a neutral response, calling Anurag an ordinary person. Pihu teases her for being unromantic. However, Ishani’s worry resurfaces as she wonders whether Shashwat will allow her to continue her studies. Pihu confidently states that the decision is hers and final.
Later, Ishani and Pihu return home, where Shashwat angrily questions why Ishani took Pihu out without informing him. Yash also demands to know why Pihu went with Ishani. Pihu snaps back, asking what their real problem is. Ishani tries to defuse the situation by saying she will go and cook, but Shashwat accuses her of neglecting her responsibilities. Ishani calmly replies that she completed all her work before stepping out.
The argument intensifies when Pihu openly calls out Shashwat for treating his wife like a maid. Yash brings up Ishani’s past, claiming they know all about it. Ishani questions how he can blindly believe rumours, adding that she too had heard things about Shashwat but chose not to trust them. She firmly states that she returned to this house only because of Pihu. Pihu indirectly hints at Shashwat’s affair, angering him further as he accuses Ishani of influencing Pihu. Pihu then declares that Ishani will continue her education through a correspondence course, making her stand clear.
