A committee member questions Rishi about the Simulboni mission. Rishi explains he went there to catch Parashar and details how he met Nutan and Jhanak. The member assumes Jhanak was his target and asks why he got involved with her. Rishi clarifies that his focus was only on his mission, but since Jhanak is Parashar’s loved one, she was used to reach him. He recounts having a minor accident and staying in a guest house, where Jhanak brought him food. He didn’t anticipate the consequences. The next day, villagers forced him to marry Jhanak, though she did not want to. Rishi emphasizes that their marriage has no value. The committee requests statements from Jhanak and Aditi.
Aditi sees Jhanak and asks why she is there. Jhanak explains she received a call from the police and came to give her statement. Abhimanyu warns her that Rishi may lose his job because of her, but she insists on fulfilling her duty. Rishi assumes she will cry to gain sympathy, but Jhanak asserts she came to give a truthful statement.
During the meeting, a committee member suggests playing Rishi’s statement, but Jhanak declines, confident he told the truth. The senior officer points out that Rishi doesn’t accept the marriage. Jhanak asks why he should, given that he was forced to marry her. She confirms that she accepts the situation but does not hold any grievance against him. She clarifies that she wants to focus on her studies and career, prefers a simple village life, and that Rishi never wronged her.
Afterwards, Rishi and Aditi leave, and the senior officer commends Jhanak, stating that her statement ensures Rishi can continue his job. Rishi thanks them and departs, while his family breathes a sigh of relief. Surjeet notes that Jhanak has left for the village, marking the end of her chapter in their lives. Aditi tells the family that Rishi’s job was saved thanks to Aniruddh, not Jhanak.
Meanwhile, Jhanak, on her way to the bus stand, gets caught in traffic and narrowly avoids a collision with a bike, but Rishi’s car accidentally hits her. She falls unconscious, with a head injury. Shocked, Rishi carries her into his car, realizing that although she saved him today, she is now in danger because of him. He acknowledges his mistakes toward her and urges her to fight.
