Hashiram tells Noyontara that they are soon going to become relatives, leaving her momentarily puzzled. Lalita notices her reaction but says nothing. Hashiram clarifies that he is set to marry either Mohor or Jaya. Lalita asks Noyontara to decide between her and Lalita’s spirit, questioning which of the two she believes is more dangerous. Hashiram advises that humans can be far more dangerous than spirits. Lalita instructs Noyontara to focus on her duties in the kitchen and promises to deal with her later after the Bhaat-Kopor ritual.

Surjo instructs the repairman to measure the window glass while Lalita brings a plate of food. Surjo questions her, and Lalita explains that since he missed the ritual, she came to bring it to him. She asks Poulomi to escort Noyontara, prompting her to hurry.

On her way, Noyontara sees the bride spirits, who warn her not to go with Lalita before vanishing.
