Rahul informs Ritesh that he has spoken to Mr. Bhalla, who believes Kadambari has a strong chance of winning the custody case. Ritesh admits he already knows this, which is precisely why he is offering financial assistance. Rahul explains that Swati is practical and well settled, and she wants Zoon to grow up in a financially stable family. Ritesh repeats Rahul’s words to himself and grows thoughtful.

At home, Indu scolds Asha for suggesting that she accept Ritesh’s help to fight the custody case. She firmly declares that she will never take help from Ritesh, whom she considers responsible for all the turmoil. In anger, she even says that if it were possible, she could kill him. Asha tries to reason with her, saying that this situation was bound to arise and urges her not to prolong the matter at Zoon’s expense.
Indu replies that although Ritesh caused her pain, he also pushed her to break her promise to Sunita and gave her the courage to legally adopt Zoon, for which she is grateful. However, she makes it clear that gratitude does not mean dependency, and she will not accept his money.
At Kadambari’s house, Kadambari happily tells Sameer that she has a high chance of getting Zoon’s custody and feels proud of filing the case at the right time. Sameer agrees, then surprises her by taking out a ring, kneeling down, and proposing marriage. Kadambari is stunned and says everything is happening too fast. She admits she likes him but asks for more time. Sameer hides his disappointment behind a smile and agrees to wait, though he privately hopes she does not drag the matter endlessly.
At the Malhotra mansion, Ritesh goes to Shakuntala’s room and takes care of her. He tells her that the court has given a week’s time and that the judge wants Zoon to be raised in a financially stable family. While Indu has a loving family, her financial instability worries him. He says Zoon means everything to Indu, and for Zoon’s sake, he wants Indu to win custody. He confesses that Indu has refused his financial help and hopes for a miracle. As he prepares to step out, Shakuntala softly takes Indu’s name.
Overcome with emotion, Ritesh pleads with Shakuntala to take his name, but she continues repeating Indu’s name. He interprets this as her wish for him to help Indu financially and immediately leaves to do so. Shakuntala tries to stop him, but he does not notice. Rahul later scolds Ritesh for his impulsive decision and warns that Indu will never agree. Ritesh refuses to back down, insisting that he must fulfill Shakuntala’s wish at any cost.
Elsewhere, Anjali asks Indu about Zoon and learns that she is staying overnight at Vivek’s house. Indu receives a call from Ritesh. Anjali answers it on speaker, and Ritesh asks Indu to meet him in the parking lot before abruptly disconnecting. Furious, Indu still goes to meet him. She is shocked to find Ritesh on one knee, only to learn he has a leg cramp and needs her help. After assisting him, she demands to know why he called her.
Ritesh explains that he has opened a fixed deposit of fifty lakhs in Zoon’s name and hands over the documents, asking Indu to submit them in court. This sparks a heated argument. Indu angrily refuses to accept the money. Later, Ritesh complains to Rahul, who offers to talk to Indu himself. Anjali questions Indu’s refusal and even hints that Ritesh is her perfect partner. Indu scolds her and storms inside. Rahul, who overhears this exchange, thanks Anjali for the idea of marriage and leaves.
Soon after, Ritesh gets a call from home and rushes back to find Shakuntala’s condition worsening. He carries her out, stopping near the temple at her insistence. The nanny hands him a vermilion box. Confused, Ritesh asks Shakuntala what she wants. Kaamna watches anxiously. Shakuntala once again takes Indu’s name, leaving Kaamna shocked and Ritesh deeply confused.
Precap: Ritesh wakes up to see Indu dressed in a red saree, wearing a nuptial chain and vermilion in her hair, trying to wake him. Later, he finds Indu in his bathroom. She threatens him, leaving Ritesh angry and frustrated.
