Ishani tells Sameer that she wants freedom from Shashwat as soon as possible. Sameer instructs her to fill out the petition form. Ishani agrees and leaves with Anurag.

In the cafeteria, Anurag cannot believe that Shashwat agreed to a divorce so easily. Ishani explains that Shashwat can do anything. Anurag feels that Shashwat agreed to a mutual divorce to avoid paying alimony. Ishani tells him they should go home before anyone sees them. Anurag reassures her that she submitted the petition and should not worry about what others will say. Ishani says it is not easy for her to forget everything.
Anurag asks Ishani to trust him because he will heal her wounds. Ishani assures him that she trusts him. Anurag says he is there because of her, and reminds her that it is their fight, not hers alone. Ishani fears she may increase Anurag’s problems, but Anurag tells her not to worry about him. He says God has given them another chance to unite. Ishani admits she doesn’t know what to feel. Anurag asks her what her heart says. Ishani says she stopped asking her heart because they cannot win against fate. Anurag tells her they can shape their own fate by fighting life’s challenges and that time changes, so she should not harbor negative thoughts.
Ishani says she has lost everything and hopes Anurag understands her emotional state. Anurag calls her brave, though she doesn’t realize it. Ishani admits she is upset because Pihu misunderstood her. Anurag tells her to focus on her happiness and asks if she will begin her life with him after the divorce. Ishani says she has not thought about that. Anurag worries she may not want him. Ishani asks him not to get angry, explaining that her mental trauma prevents her from thinking clearly. She inquires whether Anurag met Pihu at college. Anurag says Pihu glared at him, which made him awkward. Ishani dismisses Pihu as a child, but Anurag insists that Pihu is neither a child nor immature and refuses to forgive her for what she did.
Pihu sees Ishani and Anurag and claps. They notice her. Pihu tells her friends that Ishani is her father’s second wife and claims Ishani is having an extramarital affair with Anurag. She asks Anurag if he is not ashamed. Anurag warns Pihu not to cross her limits. Ishani asks Pihu how she is doing. Pihu says Ishani has no right to ask. Ishani informs her that she decided to take a mutual divorce, and Shashwat agreed. Pihu accuses Ishani of rushing to unite with Anurag. Ishani questions why Pihu is angry at her, and Pihu blames Ishani for ruining her family. Ishani places the blame on Nandini. Pihu tells Anurag that Ishani can never become part of his life.
Precap: Anurag’s mother asks Ishani if she is ready to marry Anurag. Ishani admits she is scared of happiness and worries about losing against Shashwat. Meanwhile, everyone urges Pihu to open the door.
