Tanushri declares that they will cut off all ties with Rishi if he accepts Jhanak as his wife. Payal asks whether Rishi tried to stop Aditi. Aditi reveals that Rishi asked her to stay in Simulboni until Nutan’s shradh was completed, but he ultimately chose Jhanak over her. She questions how she could stay there after that betrayal.

Tanushri assures Aditi that the family fully supports her. Indumati says they understand what Rishi is doing and blames the villagers, suspecting they performed black magic on him.
However, Aditi refuses to blame others and says Rishi went to Simulboni willingly. She states that Rishi has already accepted his marriage with Jhanak. Tanushri vows she will never allow Rishi to enter the house with Jhanak. Aditi, hurt but composed, says Rishi is an adult and can live anywhere with his wife. She adds that she will never forgive him and that he must face the consequences of his actions.
Meanwhile, in Simulboni, Nutan’s shradh ceremony begins. Parashar emotionally asks Nutan why she left him and Jhanak alone. Jhanak, overwhelmed with grief, cries and feels her entire world has collapsed after losing her mother and father.
The priest calls Jhanak to perform the ritual. Rishi gently encourages her to go and sit. Jhanak hesitates, saying she lacks the strength to say goodbye to her mother. Rishi reminds her that she must perform the ritual and honor Nutan.
Jhanak tearfully says her mother was her everything. Rishi reassures her that Nutan’s blessings will always remain with her. He promises he will never break the promise he made to Nutan and says Jhanak is her mother’s shadow. Strengthened by his words, Jhanak performs the pind daan ritual, while Rishi sits beside her in support. Watching her pain, Rishi feels deeply emotional and wonders why he is affected so strongly. Parashar consoles Jhanak as she continues to cry.
The next day, Jhanak prepares food for Rishi and asks him to eat on the way. Rishi says he could have eaten at a dhaba, but Jhanak insists he prefers homemade food. He advises her to focus on her studies and prepare for her exams.
Although Jhanak has a fever and is emotionally hurt, she hides her condition from Rishi, believing she has no right to stop him from leaving. Rishi reassures her that Nutan will always remain with her and encourages her to believe that time will heal everything.
Jhanak insists he should not leave on an empty stomach. Rishi asks for bread, and she tells him Parashar brought it for him. Before leaving, Rishi gives her money. Jhanak initially refuses, saying she does not need it. Rishi tells her to return it once she starts earning. Jhanak accepts the money, clarifying she is not greedy. Rishi says he knows that and encourages her to fulfill Nutan’s dreams.
Jhanak reflects that no one can ever replace Nutan. Rishi reassures her that one day she will regain everything she has lost.
