Jhanak tells Rishi that she has no wishes left because Nutan is gone. She says she does not want to study in a college in Kolkata anymore. Rishi asks why she hates Kolkata just because he is a bad person. Jhanak questions when she ever called him bad. Rishi replies that he knows how wrong he has been.

Jhanak asks him to marry Aditi after returning to Kolkata and to apologize to Aditi on her behalf. Rishi tells her she did nothing wrong the previous day. Jhanak urges him to understand Aditi’s pain. Rishi says she is very mature for her age. They then step out of the room.
Before leaving, Rishi asks Parashar to ensure Jhanak continues her studies. Parashar replies that he would have asked Rishi to stay longer if he were not busy. Sakhi asks Rishi when he will return. Jhanak interrupts and tells everyone not to worry because she will focus on her studies. Rishi tells her to take care of herself and call him if she needs anything. Parashar asks Rishi to call after reaching Kolkata. Rishi agrees and leaves.
Meanwhile, Aditi tells Rishi’s family that she is deeply hurt and questions why he stayed in Simulboni. Dadabhai explains that Jhanak lost her mother and could not see her one last time because she was hospitalized due to Rishi, so he went to support her. Aditi refuses to listen and announces she has come to cancel her marriage with Rishi.
Aniruddh says he no longer trusts Rishi and believes Aditi would have regretted marrying him. He adds that Rishi clearly has feelings for Jhanak.
Back in Simulboni, Kanka says she doubts Rishi will ever return because Jhanak cannot compete with Aditi in beauty. Sakhi scolds Kanka and consoles the crying Jhanak. She reminds her that she must return to Kolkata after her exams. Kanka remarks that Jhanak will remain in Simulboni forever like Nutan. Jhanak silently decides she should tell everyone she will not return to Kolkata.
At the same time, Tanushri tells Aniruddh that Rishi is making mistakes due to circumstances, but they are not supporting him blindly. She urges Aditi not to end everything hastily. Abhimanyu says they will confront Rishi when he returns.
Later, Jhanak meets her friends, who reveal they cannot continue studying after 12th grade because their marriages have been arranged. They mention Aditi, but Jhanak says she wants to focus on her education and asks them to leave. One friend asks whether Rishi influenced her thinking. Jhanak confidently replies that she has always been intelligent.
Meanwhile, Aditi again questions why Rishi stayed with Jhanak despite being engaged to her. Dadabhai says since she no longer trusts Rishi, they will not force her, but she should speak to him once before making a final decision.
At that moment, Rishi arrives home. Aniruddh immediately informs him that Aditi has decided to end their relationship.
Precap: Arshi says the marriage will happen only when Aditi agrees. Rishi supports her decision but wonders why he feels reluctant to marry Aditi, even though he loves her.
