In the past, Ishani meets Anurag for the first time at an NGO. She smiles on seeing Anurag making the NGO children laugh by dressing up as a joker. Anurag notices Ishani and gets mesmerized by her. Gradually, they start spending time together and go on dates. After a few months, outside the airport, Anurag tells Ishani that it is time to say goodbye. Ishani asks him to leave quickly, or else he might miss his flight. Anurag replies that he would be happy if that happened. Ishani asks whether he will forget her. Anurag assures her that he loves her and promises to return after two years. He asks if she will wait for him. Ishani tells him to call her every day. Anurag promises to do so, and Ishani promises to wait for him. Anurag hugs her. Ishani cries and says she will miss him.

A few days later, Ishani tries calling Anurag, but there is no response. Ambika tells Ishani that Anurag must have learned about her past and left her. Ishani keeps waiting for Anurag, but she soon receives a marriage proposal from Shashwat. Eventually, she decides to marry Shashwat and gets married to him. Anurag witnesses this from afar and quietly leaves.
In the present, Pihu says Anurag never promised to marry her, but he allowed her to stay in his house. Anurag reveals that Pihu threatened to commit suicide, which is why he let her stay. Nandini suggests filing a complaint against Anurag. Anurag defends himself, saying he did nothing wrong with Pihu, and asks her to speak the truth. Nandini tells Shashwat that they should teach Anurag a lesson. Anurag calmly tells them to do whatever they want. Pihu demands that Anurag say he loves her. Anurag bluntly replies that he does not love her. Shashwat asks Pihu not to be stubborn and says he will not agree to the marriage even if Anurag does.
Ishani questions Anurag about why he did not inform her about Pihu staying with him. Anurag replies that Pihu already knows why he does not love her. Pihu then reveals that Anurag confessed that he still loves Ishani. Shashwat laughs sarcastically and says Anurag loves Ishani only because she is the wife of a rich man. Anurag retorts that he is not interested in anyone’s money because he earns well himself. Shashwat accuses Anurag of allowing Pihu to stay with him to take advantage of her. Anurag clarifies that he asked Pihu to inform Shashwat, but she refused. Pihu questions Anurag about why he did not call Shashwat himself. She adds that Anurag hugged her and made breakfast for her.
Ishani tells Anurag that he should not have played such a game and should have informed the family. Anurag insists that everyone is misunderstanding the situation. Pihu asks Shashwat to convince Anurag to marry her. Anurag yells at Pihu and asks her to stop. Pihu stubbornly insists that Anurag must marry her. Anurag says he only wants peace in his life, but chaos has followed him ever since he met the Sengupta family. Shashwat asks Pihu to come home and warns that Anurag will have to face the consequences of his actions.
Nandini takes Pihu aside and suggests filing a police complaint against Anurag if she truly wants to marry him. Shashwat asks everyone to leave. They all leave from there. Anurag wonders whether a new storm is about to enter his life. Later, Shashwat takes Ishani to the police station.
Precap: Ishani asks the police inspector to take action against Anurag. A police inspector goes to arrest Anurag.
