Shashwat says he lost the diamond. Pihu says they should focus on new beginnings because the past taught them lessons. Raj didi tells Shashwat to rest and that she will cook food. Ishani offers to cook, but Raj didi insists and goes inside.

Meanwhile, Anurag recalls how Ishani told him she wants to stay with Pihu for a few days. His mother asks why he did not go to college today. Anurag falls on her lap, saying he doesn’t feel like going. She suggests he must be missing Ishani. Anurag explains that Ishani went to the Sengupta house even though she knows how they treated her. His mother clarifies that Ishani did not go to stay with Shashwat but fulfilled her responsibility out of humanity. She advises that it is wrong to expect Ishani to fulfill her responsibility towards him. Anurag says he understands but misses Ishani greatly. His mother tells him Ishani must be missing him too. Anurag says he trusts Ishani, which is why he loves her. His mother says he should support Ishani in taking her own decisions. Anurag admits he is hurt because Shashwat doesn’t deserve Ishani’s kindness.
Shashwat asks Ishani to speak with him alone. Pihu leaves the room. Shashwat says he does not want to justify his actions. He admits he always gave importance to materialistic things and lost his humanity. Ishani asks him to sit. Shashwat says he is fine and recounts meeting Suhasini, whom he loved deeply. She gave him Yash and Pihu, and after her death, he felt shattered and empty. He admits he had affairs but no one could fill that emptiness. Ishani is shocked. Shashwat explains he worried about Yash and Pihu, and Raj didi suggested he marry again, which led him to marry Ishani for his children’s sake.
Meanwhile, Anurag’s mother tells Anurag he also helped Shashwat by admitting him to the hospital. She reminds him not to forget that Ishani lived as a daughter-in-law of the Senguptas.
Shashwat tells Ishani that he could not replace Suhasini with her and became arrogant and egoistic after her death. He admits he became cruel when he saw Ishani and Anurag together. Ishani recalls how Shashwat tortured her. Shashwat praises Ishani for coming to help him despite everything and acknowledges she did not deserve the insults she faced.
