Anurag tells Ishani that she should file a domestic violence case against Shashwat, but he knows she won’t do that. Anurag’s mother asks why Ishani stayed with Shashwat until now. Ishani says she was worried about society because she knew people would blame her if she broke her marriage. Anurag’s mother responds that society will gossip no matter what, and they cannot live for society. Anurag advises Ishani to leave Shashwat and stay with him if she trusts him.

Anurag’s mother asks whether Ishani wants to return to Shashwat’s house. Ishani says she would prefer death over going back, but she is still legally married to Shashwat, and staying there could allow him to ruin Anurag’s life. She reveals that she wants a divorce. Anurag promises to speak to a lawyer and tells her to continue her studies. Ishani worries that Pihu, studying at the same college, might create problems if she sees them together. Anurag reassures her that it is not their concern.
The next day, Anurag is mesmerized seeing Ishani in a simple saree. Ishani says she will resume college in two days, but Anurag encourages her to start today. Ishani fears Pihu will try to take revenge, and Anurag tells her not to be scared. He mentions that they will meet the lawyer in the evening. Anurag’s mother notes that Ishani’s fear is understandable and reassures them that they need not worry once the divorce is finalized.
Anurag says Shashwat will not grant the divorce easily. Ishani acknowledges this and says she does not want alimony, only a peaceful life. She adds that she will go to the police station if Shashwat refuses a mutual divorce. She asks Anurag for the lawyer’s office address, and he promises to take her there in the evening. He reminds her that she did nothing wrong, so she should not feel afraid. Ishani comments that Anurag understands Shashwat’s ego. Anurag’s mother instructs them to have breakfast and goes inside.
Anurag asks Ishani about her future plans. Ishani says she wants freedom from Shashwat and has no other plans, explaining that many of her previous plans failed and now she wants to go with the flow. Anurag reminds her of the plans they had when they were in love but acknowledges that circumstances separated them. He feels he has been given another chance and asks if she will return to his life once everything is over. Ishani replies that she never said she does not want to return to Anurag’s life.
Precap: Ishani tells the lawyer that she wants a mutual divorce. The lawyer speaks with Shashwat and learns that he is ready for a mutual divorce. Later, Shashwat tells Nandini that it is not right to transfer company shares to another company, and Nandini says she is helping him.
