Dadabhai asks Jhanak about her family. She explains that she lived with her mother and Dadi. Indumati wonders why Nutan sent her away since she’s an only child. Jhanak replies that everyone comes alone into this world and assures them she will handle all the housework. Payal asks if she can stay without her mother, and Jhanak confidently says she can manage.

Indumati inquires about her father, and Tanushree asks if he’s alive. Jhanak reveals she never saw him, as he left before she was born. Indumati tells her to forget the past and focus on work. Tanushree reminds her that many people live in the house, so she must work for everyone, and Jhanak agrees.

Payal praises Jhanak’s bravery, noting that Rishi is an angry man and not everyone can face him. Jhanak spins a creative story to impress them. Dadabhai questions how Nutan sent an unmarried girl to the city for work when village girls usually marry young. Rishi, overhearing this, thinks his family can’t handle the truth. He decides to tell Aditi first and leaves, instructing Tanushree that Jhanak came forcefully. He orders Jhanak to begin her work before leaving.

At a restaurant, Aditi reflects on how important Rishi is to her. Rishi arrives and hugs her, his thoughts drifting to his marriage with Jhanak. Aditi assumes he didn’t pick her calls because he was injured. Rishi wants to tell her the truth, but Aditi believes he is sharing mission details. She narrates a story about Smita’s cousin marrying a village girl and settling in Delhi. Rishi struggles with confessing his secret but decides he will tell her someday. Aditi reassures him that she trusts him and that no one else can come between them.

Meanwhile, in the kitchen, Jhanak dozes off while washing utensils. Dadabhai tells Indumati he’s hungry. Abhimanyu mentions he hired a cook, but Dadabhai questions the need for one when they already have a maid. Indumati insists that both are needed. When food is ready, Tanushree finds Jhanak asleep in the kitchen and wakes her up, bringing her to the hall and explaining she fell asleep while working. Jhanak fears punishment, but Dadabhai remarks she will be punished. Indumati gently adds that her punishment is to serve them and continue working in the kitchen.

In the village, Sakhi brings Prakash to Nutan. She informs him about Jhanak’s forced marriage. Prakash feels sad, thinking he loves Jhanak but accepts that God took her away. Nutan asks if he knows Parashar’s whereabouts. Prakash refuses, saying Parashar is like a father to him. Sakhi urges him to inform Parashar about Jhanak, but he reassures Nutan not to worry and leaves.

Later, Ishani calls Nutan, upset that Jeet returned and Shashvat threw her out due to Jeet’s lies. Even Ambika now dislikes her. Ishani asks Nutan for help finding a job. Nutan shares that Jhanak is now married, and Ishani vows to find her in Kolkata, calling her like a daughter. Nutan promises to support Ishani and update her with Jhanak’s address. Ishani feels relieved, but Ambika scolds her to adjust with Shashvat, which Ishani refuses to do.
