Ankita cuts her birthday cake and feeds everyone, deliberately excluding Ishani. She introduces Yash’s family members to her friends, but once again ignores Ishani. When one of Ankita’s friends asks about Ishani, Ankita casually claims that she forgot to mention her and vaguely adds that Ishani also lives in the house. Hurt by the remark, Ishani questions what Ankita means and urges her to clearly state her relationship with the Sengupta family. Ankita dismisses the matter, saying no further explanation is needed and that Ishani’s family can clarify if required.
Refusing to stay silent, Ishani introduces herself confidently as Ishani Sengupta. She explains that Shashwat married her after the death of his first wife and states that she is the mother of Pihu and Yash, leaving everyone stunned.
The following day, Pihu finds Ishani busy cleaning the room and excitedly announces that they are going out together. She compliments Ishani for her confident English responses the previous day. Ishani modestly explains that she studied in a convent school, so it came naturally. Pihu admits that everyone expected Ishani to stay silent, but her sharp replies surprised them all, including Shashwat, while Raj Didi was left speechless. Though Ishani insists she has household work to complete, Pihu insists on a day out and hints at a pleasant surprise awaiting her.
Ishani hesitates, saying happiness is no longer meant for her. She recalls her college days and shares how she once dreamed of becoming an IPS officer, a dream she had to abandon. Curious, Pihu asks why Ishani aspired to that profession. Ishani explains that she has always stood against injustice and could never tolerate wrongdoing. When Pihu asks where that brave Ishani disappeared, Ishani admits that one incident changed her entire life.
Emotionally, Pihu reminds Ishani how she protected her from Jeet that day, fulfilling the role of a mother. She hugs Ishani and thanks her. Ishani responds by saying she considers Pihu a close friend but loves her like a daughter. Pihu declares that friendship comes above everything, while assuring Ishani that she will always stand by her.
Soon after, Raj Didi arrives and questions why Ishani has not started cooking yet. Ishani explains she was cleaning the room, but Pihu firmly announces that from now on, everyone will share the household responsibilities. Raj Didi accuses Ishani of influencing Pihu, but Pihu boldly states that she is going out with Ishani. When Raj Didi asks who will cook, Ishani calmly replies that she will leave only after finishing her work. Raj Didi, confused by the changes in the house, demands to know where they are going. Pihu replies that she will inform Shashwat later, and Raj Didi can listen then.
Later, Pihu takes Ishani to the market, where they enjoy street food together. Pihu reminds Ishani that she has every right to Shashwat’s money. Ishani acknowledges that she is Shashwat’s legal wife but admits that he does not love her, as his heart still belongs to his first wife. Pihu shares that her own mother was a university lecturer and that her father was proud of her achievements. Encouraging Ishani, she suggests that gaining Shashwat’s attention might change things. She then asks a direct question, does Ishani love Shashwat?
The question leaves Ishani completely shocked.
