Gurudev recalls how Noyontara claimed to have spoken to Lalita’s spirit. He laughs to himself, commenting on his own double-faced nature. A woman arrives and seeks Gurudev’s blessings. Gurudev tells her that the marriage has occurred and Noyontara should take her place as the daughter-in-law of Pari Mahal. He mentions that while everyone thought Noyontara’s ability to talk to spirits was limited, she can also communicate with Surjo’s real mother, Lalita. He confirms that Noyontara was truthful because Lalita is indeed dead.
The woman laughs. Gurudev comments that Noyontara might not yet know the full truth, but Lalita’s spirit will reveal it to her soon. The woman, revealed to be Lata, Lalita’s twin, laughs and explains that people will not believe Noyontara, as Lalita’s spirit is roaming due to incomplete last rites. She decides to perform the Pind Daan rituals to grant Lalita peace. Gurudev laughs along and instructs her to keep the plan of making Noyontara the daughter-in-law of Pari Mahal a secret.
Meanwhile, Noyontara speaks to Lalita’s spirit, expressing concern that Shaoli is the biggest threat to Surjo. She mentions that Shaoli has given her time to prove Surjo’s innocence but she doesn’t know how to convince him because Surjo doesn’t trust her. She recalls Surjo claiming that his mother is alive, and wonders why he said that. Lalita’s spirit warns Noyontara that Shaoli is not the greatest danger; a bigger enemy of Surjo is approaching. Noyontara wakes up, thinking it may have been a dream.
Suddenly, police arrive and take Noyontara away. Surjo and Poulomi witness this. Poulomi urges Surjo to intervene, but he calls the police officer and instructs him to warn Noyontara and release her, while informing her family to come to the station. He also calls Shayon.
Later, Noyontara insists to the police that she wants to stay in Pari Mahal, but a lady constable tells her to sit quietly.
Meanwhile, Lalita arrives at Pari Mahal. Sashodhar advises the family to oppose her wishes to bring Noyontara home. Surjo insists that Lalita cannot see Noyontara. Lalita enters and tells Surjo that God sent Noyontara for him, and he has been blinded by anger. Mohor explains that Noyontara married Surjo forcefully, and Sashodhar calls her untrustworthy. Surjo refuses to accept the marriage, but Lalita insists he must recognize Noyontara’s importance. She asks where Noyontara is, and Surjo reveals she has been taken by the police.
Lalita questions Surjo’s actions. Surjo claims that Noyontara lied about speaking to Lalita’s spirit. Lalita warns him not to speak of death. She ties the red thread on Surjo’s hand, brought by Noyontara, and explains that she can sense Noyontara’s devotion. She promises to leave the house if she cannot bring Noyontara back.
At the police station, Shayon comforts Noyontara, while Noyontara insists that she belongs in Surjo’s house to protect him.
