In the cab, Pihu notices that Ishani looks tense. She asks Ishani not to worry and assures her that she will support her in front of Shashwat. Ishani tells Pihu that she should not have bunked her classes for her sake. Pihu replies that she will go to college after dropping Ishani. She adds that college has become her favorite place now because Anurag will be there. She asks Ishani to call her immediately if Shashwat does anything wrong.
Meanwhile, Nandini advises Shashwat to control his anger and not beat Ishani, warning him that this time Ishani might file a police complaint. Shashwat tells Nandini that Ishani cannot fly because he has clipped her wings. He declares that he will definitely take revenge on Ishani.
Ishani arrives at home. Raj Didi scolds her for insulting Shashwat in front of everyone. Ishani argues that Shashwat tried to accuse an innocent man, so she could not remain silent. Shashwat tells her to shut up and threatens that he will trap Anurag in another case if Ishani does not stop interfering. Ishani asks what his real problem with Anurag is and why he is so determined to take revenge. Shashwat questions why she cares so much about Anurag.

Nandini says Anurag is just a professor, yet Ishani is ready to go against her family for him. Ishani taunts Nandini, calling her an outsider. Raj Didi intervenes and says Nandini is also the daughter-in-law of the house. Ishani firmly states that she alone is the daughter-in-law of the house and says she will not stay silent when an outsider tries to ruin her married life. Enraged, Shashwat slaps Ishani.
Nandini says Shashwat will not tolerate such insults. She asks Ishani whether she thinks Nandini has no other place to go, adding that she is not helpless like Ishani. Shashwat gives Ishani a final warning and threatens that he may even kill Anurag in anger if Ishani continues this behavior. Nandini tells Ishani to look at herself before questioning someone else’s character. Shashwat orders Ishani not to leave the house without his permission. He forbids her from going to college and tells her not to involve Pihu in her matters. Ishani silently goes inside.
The next day, Yash’s wedding rituals begin. Raj Didi deliberately does not involve Ishani in the rituals, though Ishani continues to do all the household work. The women start preparing haldi. One lady suggests that Ishani should also take part in the ritual, but Raj Didi dismisses the idea. She says Ishani is not Yash’s biological mother and does not even have a child of her own.
Pihu arrives and tells Ishani that she will help her. Raj Didi sarcastically asks what help is needed when the work is so minimal. Pihu taunts Raj Didi in return. One of the women asks Ishani whether the professor really harassed her. Shashwat recalls how Ishani gave a statement in Anurag’s favor. He thinks Ishani humiliated him publicly and decides that he must do something to get back at her.
