Shashwat suggests that Ishani can join them at the restaurant if she wishes, but points out that Raj Didi would then be alone at home. Pihu reminds him that Ramesh is there to take care of her. Ishani calmly says she has some work and will stay back. Pihu immediately refuses to go without Ishani. Observing this, Nandini comments that Pihu has bonded well with her stepmother. Pihu firmly responds that Ishani is her best friend, not her stepmother.
Shashwat decides to go along with Nandini and asks Pihu to join them. He questions why Pihu is insisting when Ishani herself doesn’t want to come. Pihu points out that the treat is for Nandini, but it is also from Ishani’s side. She announces that everyone will go together and asks Ishani to get ready.
At the restaurant, Shashwat asks Nandini about her food preferences. Nandini turns to Ishani and asks her what she would like to eat. Shashwat interrupts, saying Ishani doesn’t know much about the menu. He orders soup for everyone without consulting Ishani. Pihu notices this and reminds him that he did not ask which soup Ishani prefers, adding that Ishani’s cooking is better than restaurant food. Nandini asks Ishani if she learned cooking through special classes.
Shashwat dismissively remarks that anyone can become a chef and it’s not a big achievement. Ishani gently explains that Pihu praises her cooking out of affection. Nandini says she will judge Ishani’s cooking after tasting her homemade food. Shashwat then expresses his wish for Nandini’s project to succeed so she can settle in Kolkata. Nandini replies that she will stay only if she secures a contract, and Shashwat assures her that he wants that to happen.
When the waiter serves the soup, Shashwat asks Ishani to serve everyone. Pihu suggests that the waiter should do it, but Ishani says she doesn’t mind and serves the soup herself. Shashwat asks Nandini if she would like a drink. Nandini enquires whether Ishani drinks. Shashwat replies that Ishani does not. Nandini says she will drink next time.
Meanwhile, Pihu notices Anurag at the restaurant and excitedly goes to him. She tells him she has come for dinner with her family and introduces him to Shashwat. Shashwat invites Anurag to join them, but Anurag explains that he is there with his colleagues. He greets Ishani politely. Nandini questions Anurag about Ishani’s studies, suggesting that getting admission at her age would not be easy and asking if she joined a correspondence course. Anurag replies that managing both home and studies is challenging, but education is always beneficial. He then asks Ishani if she is deliberately avoiding him.
Pihu urges Anurag to join them, but Anurag remarks that Ishani hasn’t invited him yet. Shashwat bluntly says that he has invited Anurag and that he is the one paying the bill. Pihu confidently states that Ishani will soon get a job after completing her graduation. Anurag mentions that he has heard Ishani cooks very well and hopes to taste her homemade food someday, before asking Pihu to return to her family.
Later, Nandini suggests sharing food from a single plate since Shashwat ordered too much. They eat together, and Shashwat feeds Nandini a rasgulla. Ishani feels visibly uncomfortable watching this. Nandini and Shashwat continue discussing their deal scheduled for the next day.
After a while, Anurag asks Pihu to return to her family, sensing that Ishani might be feeling bored. Pihu leaves. One of Anurag’s colleagues comments that Pihu seems to be in love with Anurag. Anurag dismisses the remark as nonsense, but his gaze lingers on Ishani.
