UV asks Sandy to make Tammy understand the situation, but Sandy refuses, saying he is tired of intervening. UV then makes Tammy sit and tells her that he is still a bachelor. He also reveals that he has already told Eshwar that Katha will eventually leave the house on her own. Tammy thinks to herself that UV is innocent, which is why he believes Katha will walk away. She is convinced that Katha will not do so and becomes determined to throw her out of the house.

UV tells Sandy that he is disturbed by Gobar Devi, and suggests going for a long drive. Tammy questions whether he can actually leave the house. UV confidently assures her that he can and goes to pack his bags. Katha overhears everything from outside the room and is deeply hurt. She questions her emotions but reminds herself that she is here to fulfil her responsibilities and protect the honour of her uncle Mohan and Eshwar. She also worries about her family and the elders of the Jindal family, who will be upset if the pagphere ritual is not completed. UV’s cousins see Katha, ignore her, and walk into UV’s room.
Katha enters the room and informs UV that Mohan has arrived to take them for the pagphere ritual. UV laughs at her for expecting him to perform post wedding rituals. He challenges Katha to speak to him in English for two minutes. If she succeeds, he will go with her to Mohan’s house. Katha remains silent as UV’s friends, along with Pari and Ash, mock her. Pratty scolds Pari, while Omi and Pratty question UV’s challenge. UV defends himself, stating that if Katha wins, he will accompany her. He arrogantly adds that she will never succeed and continues to insult her. Tammy also taunts Katha.
To everyone’s shock, Katha accepts the challenge. She explains why she prefers speaking in her mother tongue and questions whether UV, his cousins, or his friends can speak in their own mother language continuously for two minutes. Everyone falls silent. Omi and Pratty look pleased. After completing the two minutes, Katha asks UV to be a man of his word and walks away. Pari and Ash question UV about what just happened, but UV remains speechless.
In the dining room, Ambika plants doubts in Mohan’s mind about UV and Katha’s relationship. Mohan questions Eshwar about it. Katha arrives and supports her in laws, explaining that UV is busy with work and assuring them that she will go with him for the pagphere ritual. Eshwar asks Shlok to convince UV, but Shlok suggests informing Mohan about the real situation. Eshwar agrees and asks Mohan to give UV and Katha some time, offering him hope.
At that moment, UV arrives with his bags and tells Mohan that they can leave for the pagphere ritual. The family is delighted, while Katha is shocked. UV confidently tells his cousins that Katha will not return after the ritual and will stay at her uncle’s house. Later, Katha goes to pack her bags. She struggles with her suitcase when UV arrives and notices the words she has written in his room. Annoyed, he calls out to her. Katha loses her balance and falls, but UV catches her in his arms. They share a brief yet intense eye lock.
Precap. UV learns that Mohan’s family is struggling to arrange food for him. He calls Sandy and asks him to send food to Katha’s house. Katha is confused by UV’s unexpected kindness when Mohan brings the food bag. UV then reveals that the food was prepared by him at his restaurant.
