UV gives the money to Bairo and asks if the amount is enough to stop his harassment. He firmly warns Bairo to leave immediately. Satisfied, Bairo leaves. Vandana requests Bairo to return the money, but UV stops her, saying it is fine, and walks inside. Vandana breaks down in tears, and both Naina and Katha rush to console her. Katha remarks that even though UV has never accepted her as his wife, he is still doing so much for them. Vandana shares her pain with Katha, expressing that UV’s help in clearing their debt will make Mohan feel deeply guilty.

Mohan later calls Vandana and learns from Katha that UV paid the debt to Bairo. He feels hurt and upset and disconnects the call. The family grows anxious about Mohan. Katha resolves that she must repay UV’s favour at any cost.
Later, Katha enters the room, breaks her piggy bank, and takes out the saved money. She hands it to UV, stating that she does not want his favour. She reminds him that since he has never accepted her as his wife, she does not wish to be indebted to him. She decides to leave, but UV stops her. As tension rises, UV pins Katha to the wall, demanding that she repeat what she said. Katha firmly states that she will return his money. Enraged, UV questions how she plans to do so. He drags Eshwar into the argument, accusing Katha of relying on him because he hired her as his spy. Katha asks UV not to involve Eshwar and insists that she will repay the money through her own earnings. She questions UV for helping her family despite not accepting her and asks him not to insult them while offering help.
UV is deeply hurt by her words. He explains the real reason behind helping her family and questions her stubbornness. He accuses Katha of misunderstanding his every action and says she is forcing him to admit that she is his wife. Shocked by his own emotions, UV decides to leave, leaving Katha stunned.
Worried, Katha stops UV from leaving, saying Mohan may face humiliation again. UV refuses and questions the nature of their relationship. Katha is left speechless. UV reminds her of how she hurt him multiple times, especially when she once believed his mother was dead. Katha pleads with him, saying she never intended to hurt him. At that moment, Mohan arrives and asks UV if he is leaving. UV looks at Katha, who silently signals him. UV lies to Mohan and goes inside. Mohan thanks UV for his help, but UV dismisses it, saying that ups and downs are a part of life.
Later, UV overhears Katha and her family discussing the need to bring water from outside. He tells them not to worry, saying he will take a shower. Mohan informs him that they do not have a shower. The family leaves to fetch water, leaving UV shocked. Katha goes out to collect water, and a neighbour allows her to fill her bucket first. From a distance, UV watches her and overhears her conversation with Kesar Uncle, where she explains that society residents get only one hour of water supply and that she plans to submit a request to the government to ease their hardship. UV is shaken on learning about their daily struggles. He rushes forward and saves Katha from falling. They share an intense eye lock.
Precap. Katha is left speechless when UV brings food for her family. UV thinks to himself that even if Katha does not understand him, he cannot ignore anyone’s suffering.
