Banni and Yuvan place diyas in every corner of the house. Devraj tells Hemant that the house feels festive, like Diwali. Hemant replies that Devraj may be happy, but he is not, as he worries about Yuvan’s future. Devraj asks him to look at things from Yuvan’s perspective and understand his happiness with Banni.
Yuvan goes to his father. Banni and Yuvan enter Hemant’s room and bend down to seek his blessings, but Hemant walks away. Devraj blesses the newlyweds.
Later, Banni and Yuvan play a ritual game of finding a ring in a vessel filled with milk. Yuvan finds the ring. Manini wards off the evil eye using money while Banni watches silently. Manini asks Shankar to distribute the money among the poor. Viraj and others wonder what will happen to them if Banni becomes the owner of half the property. Manini firmly declares that she is the Malkin and will not allow anyone to take her place. Viraj smirks at her words.
Viraj and Charmi decorate Yuvan’s room for the suhaagrat. Kalpana questions the heart-shaped decorations. Charmi says it is to make Banni uncomfortable, as she and Yuvan only play games like ludo. They laugh together.
Brinda takes Banni toward the room and gently advises her on how to care for Yuvan. Viraj, Kalpana, and Charmi mock Banni. Inside the room, Banni grows tense seeing the decorations. Myra notices Brinda’s discomfort and questions her. Sulekha sends Myra away and asks Brinda what is troubling her. Brinda confesses that she feels bad for Banni, as Yuvan does not understand the bond between husband and wife. She says every girl dreams of her suhaagrat, but this night will be painful for Banni.
Banni searches for Yuvan and sees someone sleeping on the floor. Assuming it is Yuvan, she wakes him and asks him to sleep on the bed. She is shocked to see Shankar instead. Banni panics, calls out for Yuvan, and rushes out, fearing Viraj may be behind this. Manini asks what happened. Banni says Yuvan is missing and runs to find him. Everyone looks confused.
Yuvan arrives and asks what is wrong. Banni explains that Shankar was sleeping in the room and suspects it is a cruel prank. Yuvan calmly explains that he sent Shankar to stay with Banni because he remembered she had slapped him earlier, and he slept in another room so she would not feel scared. Banni is stunned. Viraj and others smile mockingly. Shankar tells Manini that Yuvan forced him to sleep in the room. Yuvan innocently asks what is wrong with Shankar sleeping near Banni.
Manini scolds Yuvan, saying he acted wrongly. Viraj insults Banni, saying Yuvan has shown her true status. Charmi mocks their marriage, saying suhaagrat happens with a husband, but here it happened with a servant. Banni feels deeply humiliated.
Yuvan questions why the room was decorated in such a manner and starts removing the flower petals. Banni stops him. Manini tells Yuvan that he cannot call servants into the bedroom after marriage and sends Shankar away. Yuvan innocently asks whether that means he cannot seek servants’ help at all. Viraj rudely says Yuvan must do the work himself. Manini scolds Viraj and orders him to leave. Viraj claims he only came to help and forcefully makes Yuvan drink the milk. Banni immediately stops him.
Precap: Yuvan panics when he sees his mother’s photo burning. Banni tries to calm him but fails. Manini tells Viraj to watch how she will turn the entire situation in her favor.
